Sarkoth is a trap.

Instead of nerfing him months ago Blizzard used a script...

I warned about exactly this in a prior post (before there was a single ban), but it was deleted and I was suspended. Because I "cursed? at a troll in the post, meanwhile I see senior members and devs here calling people "f@cking idiots." Not to mention, I was obviously correct.

Honestly, I've been lurking around awhile and have helped with more than a handful of wow scripts, and wrote a guide on making money multiboxing wow. Which people sent me PMs thanking me for over a year.

I sick over noobs and staff qq over "I'm banned" posts. There should be a subforum here with a standard template to report banned accounts. This way we can summarize the data, and adjust. Please will also know what they need to post. Right now we are all just deer in the headlights botting on accounts worth over $500. Not to mention the hundreds of dollars I paid for DB and HB sessions.

I want to see a separate forum full of templated posts by people that were banned using your bot. Not watched them get moved to another forum because they're a suspected troll....

I?ll be asking for my money back if it doesn?t happen. As of now the bot is only capable of running simple scripts that are sure to get banned eventually, just like uldum in wow. But it?s even worse, because EVERYONE, is using pretty much using the same script.

Maybe Blizzard is lacking the resources since the game launched recently, but it?s not going to take long for them to completely figure this out?

Honestly, you guys know you could have done better....

You had my full support before, but the last post and suspension left a bad taste in my mouth and the ignorance on this forum is delaying the bots progression. Now I want a useable product or my money back, either refund or chargeback.

I don't know all about your circumstances, but just my thoughts:

1. Why don't you give us a more detailed explanation of why bans are inevitable. What about the bot program is so problematic such that it subjects us to imminent ban in the near future? What can Team DB do to make it more secure?

2. If you have some grievances with the admins, you might want to take it up with them rather than posting here. I know what it feels like to be suspended for swearing at a troll. I've had that happen a couple of times myself on another unrelated discussion board (I personally always thought the admin was more so of a hopelessly clueless r tard than a jerk, but I digress).

I have to agree we need a sub forum and beatings for the people who don't use it

Im am also a fan of this. It would be very easy to implement.

This

While I strongly agree there are improvements to the bot that need to be made regarding capability, I will add that bans are not 100% the bots fault. If you tell the bot to run the same 15 second game for hours on end... You do the math

Template should be

Number of accounts banned:
Region:
DB Version:
profile used:
plugins used:
how long did you bot each day:
did you sell gold:
did you use anything else but DB:

Just use the HB Template with a few little changes, open the same sub forum Hb has and finished.

Will be done soon after the first few ban reports.

Profile specific bans have always been very common. It?s probably lot easier to detect a profile (if everyone is using it) then to actually detect demon buddy.

People on the forums know this; I have been using kickass?s wow profiles for over a year, and have been banned on around 25 wow accounts. I felt those profiles were 1000% better and more realistic than what we have now with DB. But regardless, whenever they became really productive or profitable, they would almost always suffer periodic bans or even worse simple profiles like uldum would have mass bans. Also if one of your accounts got detected while using a public profile, and say, you had 8 other accounts running custom profiles. Blizzard might detect that one session, look at what you?re doing, and ban all your accounts for a massive loss. I had relationship with an account reseller that would let me ?borrow? the account, then recall the accounts when that got banned for a fee. This helped alot.

I know I would get banned on accounts using specific scripts, and I feel that sometimes it flagged my other accounts as well. It?s a constant battle between getting banned and adjusting to make the most money before you get the ban hammer. It?s a better game to play then Diablo 3, but I think were going to lose without more support.

Losing for me = not doing this profitably

Add- ~ Total amount of gold farmed from account at ban
Add- EU or USA
Add- Approximate time banned (forum time)
Add- Where you banned while actively botting, or did you get the ban message when you tried to log on

I almost wonder if all the EU specific ones have anything to do with the recent AH issue there were data was lost on sales, balances, items. Such that Blizzard is going through to try and repair them by parsing player activity; therefore also noticing the out-liners of activity such as hitting the same way points repeatedly. One reason I would take a public profile and manually modify the way points ever so slightly to differ now and then. Would be nice if DB could have some sort of tag such as <MoveTo questId="74128" variance-x="10" variance-y="10" stepId="26" x="200.8307" y="195.8042" z="0.1">
To make it go to x200.8307 with a 10. or whatever value difference etc.

People also mention the AGB profile/plugin as being common, this one since you vaulted were basically never pushed off course in your movements could be a reason it "seems" to be caught more. Other plugin profiles that disable combat would also have a more common player coordinate history since they wouldn't wander off and engage mobs on the way to Sar.

This coordinate recording and parsing was something mention that World of Tanks does extremely well to combat bots, since you can well define a percentage point where no single person could hit the same coordinates all the time.

I vote GTFO.

do you seriously believe they log every player movement in every game they create? if this were the case then a lot more people would be getting banned a lot more frequently

Bannings in WoW -> Other People
Bannings in D3 -> Stupidity or Economics.

no, but they can use another method to flag people then monitor what they're doing and yes they can monitor your exact movement just doing it on a mass scale isnt realistic doing it for a few hundred is easy.

No but they log gold collected and games created, I’m sure there are plenty of other server side filters and killing Sark x10000000 does not replicate actual gameplay

It defiantly seems like the accounts are being flagged for some reason then banned by a human.

While I'm skeptical about whether Sarkoth is a trap per se and unnerfed for this very reason, I wouldn't be surprised to find people running Sarkoth scripts are getting ninja-flagged then banned. It's like refusing to bulldoze down a specific area of a city known for being full of drug dealers and gangs while stationing a few police officers in the same area to catch people.

for people who have no clue.

They can log games created in any given time frame.
They can log gold collected in the last hr, day, week, month
They can log avg time spent in game.

This is stuff they can log for EVERYONE. Take these fields and create a flagged account list based on variables say 1k games made a day. Flag all them accounts for review.
