Switch weapon before casting sweeping winds

Would it be possible to say

set the first slot in your inventory as protected and stash a very high dps 2h weapon there.
b4 casting sweeping winds equip that weapon and after casting re-equip 2x1h weapons you used before?

that way we get realllyyy high dmg output via tornados and many of them via high attack speed.
