so every once in a while i do svn update on swiny's folder to see if hes come back. today i did a svn update and downloaded stuff but virus detection immediately detected a threat so i let it delete the stuff? false positive? whats going on?

From my understanding SwInY's plugins and cc's are still available here, but are being posted by maddog. His mapgen app and AHBOT are on his own website.

its recommended you do NOT use his SVN as he could put anything there. if you have updated since his banning, i suggest removing those files since he could of literary coded anything into his old projects that can be harmful to your computer and your account security.

you don't have to download something from his svn to see his changes. You can also get a "diff" or a changelog what he has changed.
see the revision numbers from google code. Both should be safer than downloading things from someone you may not trust.

As he is banned and as he mad trouble after hawker updated the developer rules no one beliefes he would come back ;-)

Checked everything on his SVN and found no issues. IF you believe something is malicious, please run it against Virustotal.com. Swiny may have had issues with the HB devs but i doubt he's silly enough to get caught poisoning an SVN...where EVERYONE can see. He has some great code, I'd hate for any un-needed hate to go his way for a misunderstanding.

still wouldn't stop him from editing a CC to spam "Im a bot!", most people dont know C# enough to notice if it where changed to do something malicious after a certain amount of time.

thread closed, theres no reason for this to be open for discussion.
