I've been leveling a toon pretty heavily this past week - using nuok's and kick's quest profiles - playing ~10-12 hours a day for the past ~5-6 days with guild bonus and leveling gear. I intermixed instances, archeology, and gathering as well. No grinding. But apparently I leveled too quickly and this triggered an auto 72hr suspension. I called and gave them excuse and they lifted it and reactivated account on the spot.

They won't ban/spsuend you if you level "too fast". Most likely a player report

you even have people that power level themselfs if a new expansion is out or when for instance a guild needs a specific character to raid with. Then people level 20 hours a day even, yes this seems unlikely to some but there are still hardcore players like this around. As said above it was probally due to a player report.

Also the bot will never level faster than a half decent player.

As above. When ever we need a new class, we boost like crazy for stupid amounts of time.

you didnt mix things up, and thats why you got caught, thousands of people use those public profiles, all they have to do is find the pattern of people running them and they can ban people just from that. so thats why you need to keep mixing things up. pvp, do some instances, run to stormwind and use the AH for no reason.

From my experience leveling now 3 chars to 85, and one to 74. The 1-60 profiles are golden. The 70+ are damn near garbage. Its quite obvious when you see a char run through a mob to pull another mob, or when they are "flying" along a road 3 feet off the ground.

I'm just relaying what the rep said was why I was "auto suspended" - she said some people are really good and level too quickly and get an auto suspension because they appear to be bots. He may not have known what she was talking about.

I felt I did mix it up quite a bit - I stayed away from PVP as I don't PVP even when hand playing. But I did visit and gear toon off of AH every 5 or so levels, dual specced and hand played instances as heals almost every day, chatted with guildies and in instances, did some archeology, and most nights I sawp over and hand play my 85s on different servers at night.

So far I've botted 8 toons to 85 over the years and this is first time got caught. Could have been a player report, but I monitor bots almost full-time. But the profiles and custom classes runs so smooth no doubt I am letting my guard down more. My toon just made 70 last night when I got auto-suspended about 2 hrs later. The issue of "ground flying" is apparent in some of the later Burning Crusade instances as well. You look silly using ground mount as a 62-69 and you look silly ground-flying as well - either is unnatural behavior.

World of Warcraft does not have an autoban system for leveling too fast, i would have been banned 10x over as for when i get a request for a level 85 character, i do 1~85 in about 2~3 days which is faster than any bot can do so most likely it was a player report

or when they are "flying" along a road 3 feet off the ground.

heh, i thought it was something i was doing wrong.. After trying to figgure that out for a day or two i just finished BC by hand.
