As we know, everyone has their own ideas as to how Blizzard is dealing with and tracking down anyone using mods/hacks/exploits etc...
A lot of us tend to focus on the details given from the DB users who were banned so that we may avoid making the same mistakes the banned user made. I just wanted to hear from the fortunate who have gone undetected for at least a month of heavy botting. This survey probably has no use to any of the devs here, but seeing as I botted for a short time I'd like to see if there is anything I could do to help go undetected myself in the future.

1 hand leveled, 1 chinese power lvl, 4 bought lvl 60 barbs and 2 botter 1-60.

Don't know exactly what you mean with this, got barbs with giles combat routine.

Yar, giles, radsatom.

8) What honest percentage of time do you supervise your bot?

Almost never, just sell everything once a day.

Yes, I hand everything to one of my bots that do RMAH (used to be my main).

No.

Only through RMAH.

I have 3 bot accts and I dodged the bullet so far. I've always figured that if Blizzard could detect the software, we'd all be banned. In light of that, I've done my very best to keep my accounts looking as though They are played by humans.

That's as far into my strategy as I care to go because I'd personally not like to see our "flying under the radar" strategies posted publicly for Blizzard to comb over and add to their filters for catching botters. I'm a firm believer in the fact that luck plays less a role in getting caught than common sense does. I'm fairly well convinced that when these mass bans go out its a simple filter check on time played, gold traded, and MAC address's.

24/7 , unless the power goes out, even on path day i play manually it helps reduce suspicious activity.

I leveled My characters manually to 60 without exp gear, and without level reductions.
only took a few days.

well, it takes up a good 30% of my screen at all times... mostly superviseing my wow bot...
on Facebook ect watching anime... so idk i would say 10% of the time... fun to watch :)

normally 10 a day, since thats the auction limit really.
sometimes up to 15 if sales are going good.
10) Do you use the Real Money Auction House (RMAH)?
I do not have a cellphone/ipod/authenticator, so i cannot use the RMAH. :(

I used the D3 2x 2 handed wep exploit, and day of patch the Exploited weapon was removed from offhand slot , and moved into my invintory. ( how i did not get banned I dont know honestly ) i thought that was funny and weird.
I also use honorbuddy bot. my sister tryed to use Cheat engine on d3... movement speed was only client side lol.

I do not sell gold.

Being detected and not detected in D3 is all about the /reports and Luck.

---- I teleport hack in wow, that was patched sep 26---- still botting almost 24/7 = still no bans...
3 hour suspention for haveing the character name FreeHandJob though... lol
 
There is no way to not get banned.

People who botted 12/7 got banned last wave including me. If you bot 24/7 you will be banned soon. You didn't do anything more right than anyone else. You just got lucky.

If they ban all botters at same time we would know there's something wrong and then never buy a new copy of diablo. Also we would mess up economy.
So they have a list and sent relatively small ban waves.

I usually change from one run to another... not in a regular basis... i just like to make it different cause i like to watch my bot playing...
while watching i keep interrupting him...

from 5 friends that bot like me only 1 got caught...

Interesting theory...all comes from your imagination or you have a friend of a friend of a friend working for Blizzard ? :)
 
Why you people worry so much about what other people are doing is appalling. You guys freely give up information that is used to make a profile to catch botters and bot like activity.

Now, nothing wrong with sharing information but polling/ask/trying to find out what everyone else is doing will not save you. It just makes you look clueless.

Do your own thing, and you are less likely to get banned. Start doing the same thing as everyone else and they have another pattern of bot like activity to monitor.
 
Soooo... You guys use RMAH but are not involved in gold selling?
 
There have been soooo many polls every ban wave from people that shit their pants when they were banned. These polls and annoying questions have been repeated 1,000s of time since the ban waves with WoW Glider year and years ago. You guys have to stop asking "if" you're going to get banned and ask "when". Unless you've gained some sort of Blizzard immunity, you're going to get a ban sooner or later. Every time you LOAD your bot, you're taking the risk of being detected.The fact of the matter is you could bot 1 hour a day of 24 hours and you can still be banned. If you're not willing to lose an account, then don't bot.

Also, a quick forum search would reveal that all of the questions they're asking have already been answered 100 times over throughout the forums by community members and staff alike. There is no "super secret squirrel" tactic that Blizzard doesn't know about... I personally pray to my D3 botting deities every morning and I have yet to be banned. However, there is a new rumor running around is that there's a Blizzard deity that is going around challenging the bot deities. I have not been able to confirm this yet, but I have a feeling in my gut and my gut is typically never wrong... Then again, it could just be gas.

Leveled them with a friend ( he boosts me to 50 ) i play from there to 60 then starting the bots on act 3 inferno

Great idea! let's all post on a public forum exactly what configurations aren't being caught by blizzard's data mining!


use your brains for once. this is a fantastic resource for the guys who are trying to ban us
 
What crap questions can someone ask oO How this answers will help you? Why you dont ask the right questions like Have you any Bots/Friends in your list and traded gold with them/How much Gold? Or what Paragon your chars mainly have? All Bots on same PC and/or same IP? Blabla... Such questions would help you, but not that crap you asked.

And remember: EVERY botter will be banned, earlier or later. No one can survive. Its all about risk-management.
 
Method for 100% survival rate of banwaves.....

No matter how BIG that WAVE is.....
