[Suggestion] Smarter paladin CC

After trying all the Paladin CC's I feel like they could be alot better (DPS wise)


For some crazy reason i see CC's casting Exorcism when it's not an instant/free cast. Loosing over 20% of base Mana is a crazy thing to use (And should never be used)


I would like to see a worth while CC to be used with combat bot. One that would use FCFS "rotation".


Would it not be possible to create a CC that would use FCFS? There are even addons that can work out the rotation based on cooldowns/procs.

Here is one of the addons. Retribution FCFS helper (clcret) - Addons - Curse

So if it can be used in a simple WoW addon to display what spell is next on the rotation, im guessing it would be simple to do this with a CC but instead of displaying those spells casting them.




I would love to give this ago myself. But to be perfectly honest i don't have a clue where to start, else i would be posting a CC instead of just a suggestion.


The reason why im asking for this is the released CC's here are on average 2-3k DPS less than me using the FCFS rotation by hand, and humans make mistakes, a bot should not. So if anything CC's should be atleast on par with a player smashing keys, right?


Would anyone be up for creating this? If so i would love to help as much as i can too get a pro CC
 
Well for healing i use Ensemble but for dps i use Mords amd they both work great.
 
As you have not stated what CC you are using or have used it a little difficult to make a recommendation. My CC does not use exorcism unless it has the proc.
 
Have a perfect rotation isn't really that necessary for most of HB/GB's tasks.

The reason being is those rotations are usually designed around fights that last several minutes. Most fights with GB/HB last no more than 30 seconds. So having a rotation that potentially sets up things that will be more valuable in a few minutes may be a waste. That's not to say the rotation can't be improved, but these rotations are not always ideal.

Generally speaking the CC's I've seen for paladin are sufficient for the farming that I need to do.

Not when using the Combat Bot.

I use it instead of using InstanceBuddy, because i play with people from the guild, and sometimes i carn't have both hands free.

You can try any of the Paladin CC's on a training dummy. Then stop the bot and do it youself using FCFS rotation and you will see your DPS jump by a few k

This CC is designed for the 99% of people who are questing / grinding. Not for those wanting to be a "lazy raider".
 
Huh. Really frustrating to see users called lazy when they want more effective cc's, and told not to go afk if they want to use features of a BOT. Get to hear how much honor/gold etc. certain people related to HB rake in running their bots trouble free 24/7 afk - but customers are apparently lazy. If customers can't use all the features of the bot afk I wonder what the point of having them at all is. Oh nevermind, I already bought lifetime so it doesn't really matter does it.

Who told you not to go afk? Which features of the bot can't you use afk?

You seem very upset by the term "lazy raider", would you prefer people to type out "raider who wants to raid but not do any of the combat actions themselves, and has chosen a levelling/grinding bot to do so with"?

Its fairly obvious it wasn't meant as an insult, but as a description of what you were trying to do, which really isn't what most people use HB for. Most of the public CCs are aimed at the majority of users rather than niche areas.

Heres a suggestion make a CC/plugin/bot base then offer support on it for a month. After that month of listening to all the bitching about it not doing this or not doing that when the instruction on how to use it exactly are plain as day and what the limitation of the so called item you made does. Come back and talk to me... I would love to hear about if your view has changed.

I would bet most of the people shouting praises about how much gold they make/trouble free use of their bot wasn't always the case. I had issue starting out abounds... and sat around being lazy waiting on others to fix the problems.

You bought a bot that can AFK/Dungeon/do TS and Gather. That purchase came with a default set of CC's / Plugins. Are those the most efficient to what you want to do... probably not ( In my case the stock CC's are horrible for what i use the bot for). But they do what the bot is marketed as.

Everything else offered on this site is extra and up to the person(s) offering that said item be it a CC/Plugin or Botbase.

So how did I get this paid product to do what I wanted it to do more efficiently took a couple of hours reading up on the guides and trying shit out. Tweaking the CC's/Plugins/Bot Base to accomplish what I wanted more effectively eventually leading up to me making my own CC's.

If you put in time and effort some of the community will help out *** IF *** you show the effort of trying. CodenameG has written a really excellent guide on how to make a starter CC I would suggest looking into that. They are really not that hard to make and only take a couple of hours to get the basics then you can tweak the rest of it through trial and error ( yes it does take actively using a persons brain).

The developers here has given any user the tools *** API *** (while not documented for the faint of heart... but you do have a TON of reference material to pull from to see how most things are done... baby steps :) ) to make the bot exactly how they want. Just takes time and effort on your part if you don't like the stock option.

Im sorry but since when does having the best DPS only benefit raiders?

I mean who would want to kill things quicker while questing or grinding :rolleyes:


This is a WoW bot that plays the game for you, we are all lazy else we wouldn't be here.

Came here to use a bot, not write a bot. If I could write a bot, I wouldn't have paid for a bot.
And this "community" bs is just that - bs. Its simply a convenient excuse to use whenever anyone questions how poorly HB functions.
PS - Over 6 months of everyone and their dog getting this bot for free = creators can't even find a way to protect their own investment or their customers investment. Nice.

Lolz... not disagreeing with you that the base CC's are somewhat lacking but they do what they are designed for grinding/gathering NOT raiding. But its simple stop paying your money per month on this if they are not developing fast enough for you and go somewhere else good luck with that. Why continue to pay for a product your not happy with. If I didn't buy lifetime when it was first offered ages ago I would not be using this.

Sorry bro should of test drove that soccer mom van before being disappointed that you didn't buy the sport car. Impulse buying is a bitch.

Some of the other .cc top their dps in raid situations, FPSMage does from memory, be nice for a paly one just tuned for lvl85 raiding wiith a talent tree to match to do just that.

Would just like to pickup on this thread.

Would anyone be willing to take this on? Even if you don't have a Paladin im willing to help out as much as i can.


I would love to make this myself. But i can hardly code anything decent myself (My coding skills suck)

I can explain what rotation to use, when to use it, when to use the less used spells/skills.

And also the above for if we are facing a player, mob, or boss for even better DPS.




So if anyone would be willing to code this, please send me a PM. Cheers. Oh and for people thinking Paladin CC's are fine, Im doing between 5-6k in cata dungeons using instancebuddy. But when i turn it off and button smash i hit 9k+ with my poor gear. This is also a big let down with things like PVP too.
