Suggestion for developers selling in the store

There are several products I'm interested in buying in the store. One developer, whose products are quite expensive, doesn't have a link in the "Support and Discussion" section of their store listings.

Another developer has links that go to their web site and the link says they won't process support requests until HB is bug free.

If you want people to buy your products give them a link on the buddyforum where they can ask questions and get support.

All developers have threads on the forums already, It isn't hard to search them. They all have a discussion thread with current bugs.

and they are all overpriced, so i dont buy them ;) Yeah i am working on rutines too, will make for all classes, 3€ per class, and yes working to be like Portal for mages, a good rutines.
I mean 20€ per class are they crazy. Anyway, yes i got 2 classes ready and i will realese it soon, beta, and will be free when beta.

Not overpriced at all. If you do come out with your Routines you'll quickly find that $3 per person is not worth all the effort you'll have to put into support. If you find a great CR for your main character and you use it often then $20 is extremely cheap, don't forget that it is supported and updated for the lifetime of Honorbuddy.

who said i want to make big money...? they are doing for€ and i got job...and i love when i make someone happy, and no not worth, the HB itself its worth...and i like doing this in free time :P

I didn't start this thread to talk about whether the items in the store are priced fairly. Please start your own thread to talk about that.

I think most of the developers on the store have done a good job of providing what you're talking about, but yeah.....it would help if everyone on the store was required to do this as well. I will say that being able to get a trial of the product before buying it has always given me plenty of time to test something out to see if I want to spend he money on it.

More products with trials would definitely be good.

Haha!

Oh... wait... you were serious? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH

There is absolutely zero requirement or incentive for any developer of a highly priced item on the buddy store, to continue development or support. In fact, they would make MORE money (per time investment), by getting the initial burst of sales, disappearing, and creating a new similar product with the requested fixes/updates enticing people to switch. Bossland, of course, also have an incentive to turn a blind eye to this, as they take a pretty decent cut of every sale.

Hey, this sounds amazing! Any chance you'd reveal which two to expect? - I'd gladly help you out testing, if it be any of the classes I use for botting.

Just passed by, noticed this- not right

From the day a developer puts an item in the store he has to upgrade and support it for at least 18 months or till next expansion.

I'm out again :)

And what exactly will happen if one does not? - it's not like the cyberpolice will come bust you.
Yeah, you can get banned from here. But if one decides to show so little care, do you think they would even mind? - Creating a new account seems like no trouble at all.

edit: its not like anyone of us are exactly following the rules anyway :-P

Because they are entering a legally binding contract and are not being held without accountability. You assume that a large corporation would risk a business by letting someone use a veil of anonymity?

I'm amazed at what people assume why don't you try your glorious plan and see how well it works.

I would like a 1 dayish trial on some of these Custom class profiles.... You have NO Idea how well/bad they will do.... What if they aren't that great? You're screwed? Thats the really negative side to this...
