It would be nice with a ventrillo, but I don?t think people would use it. MMOwned had their own Vent once, and it was rare that someone acutally was on it.

Waste of money and time to maintain it if U ask me.
As mess stated, I've seen many sites hyping ventrillo, but in the end there were only few ppl around, even on sites with over 10K - 20K unique members.

I'd rather be on guild vent chatting to real life mates to be honest..

For those people who have issues with their PC/GB/HB etc and who can't be bothered to search forums or Google for solutions it would ba an excellent idea...

I would not use Vetrilo. I prefer Teamspeak 2 or Teamspeak 3 ..these are more Userfriendly

I think it would be a good idea to be honest, and to be fair I don't think a few dollars is going to harm the creators.

And to be fair, if people are so scared it will fail, why not give it a try. (You can buy servers for a month at the time right?).

To be honest man, I doubt that. Here is the issue I can see with having a public ventrilo.

People who know how to do stupid stuff like dDoS and have admin doesn't mix well at all, and script kiddies with a 2k net thinking they are hot shit will always be script kiddies.
People linking infected programs with keyloggers, etc, etc. Not a good thing.
People doing bot join and leaves to crash the vent, causing problems and what not.
