"Styx.Helpers.CharacterSetting" Constant Error!

Hey,

Directly after I log in to HB I receive this error "The type initializer for 'Styx.Helpers.CharacterSetting' threw an exception" which in turn closes my HB program.

I tried removing the protectedfiles folder and still get this error and have re-installed 3 times.

How can I fix this?

clear your settings folder and try again
 
Just found this thread when this problem popped up for me. Tony nailed it, but if you want to try deleting the settings for that character specifically, just go into the settings folder, ctrl+f and type in your character name you're having issues with to find it, and delete those files. For people who use multiple toons like me, it could save you a little time :)
 
I have this same error when running wow through HBRELOG.
When i open wow myself, everything runs fine.

Deleting the settings folder doesn't resolve the issue.
Any way to fix this?
Used to work ok before...

if you get it only when using HBrelog its not an HB issue
 
Yeah, thought that myself, but was thinking it should be HBrelog related.
Can it be hbrelog loads wow in directx9 , while if i load wow myself it loads in directx 11 and how can i change this?
Is there an alternative to HBrelog? Arelog?
 
give us your log so we can see the exact error
 
Now it works again, so weird.
I just switched between directx9 and 11.
 
EndScene error = cannot hook, restart wow manually worked for me.
