Stuttering and Crashing

Hey, I'm just recently returning to the botting scene after a long hiatus. I used Demon buddy for a good 6 or so months before I stopped playing all together. However I've noticed something odd, I've followed the suggested steps in Gilessmith post about random crashes and/or how to solve them.

Normally, I run Diablo at max resolution with the highest settings averaging around 45-50 FPS. BUT when I run the latest beta and stable versions of the bot the game stutters, and has minor freezing issues up until an eventual crash. My game is already on the lowest settings, I'm using an up to date profile, and the TPS has been lowered to 6, but I'm still getting "lagging" or stuttering in my client, even if I'm not actively viewing it, I can see the drops in my task manager as well, the CPU usage drops drastically and then resumes it's normal course, however, when the CPU drops, the game stutters as well. I don't understand this personally and would love assistance.

Thanks

The above log does not contain a crash record, if you would like me to post one with a crash let me know

The Release build has the same effect, but I will post the logs for it once I install it. Thank you for the swift reply Tony.

-EDIT- Here is the Log with a crash using the Stable version of DB

thank you again for the quick assistance Tony

-UPDATE- Increasing my D3 client's proccess priority in the task manager has greatly reduced the stutter, I'm running it with 9 tps as well. Will post another log if the client crashes.

Log of my recent crash with Beta build .496

Yes, regardless of what profile I run, which ever combat routine I use, and across the latest beta and stable builds. Disabling plugins or using only trinity and QT does not make the client run any better either. Lowering the TPS does aid the stutter, but it only happens while the bot is running. As soon as I pause it, or stop the profile, I'm hitting high frame rates again and no lag what so ever.

can you clear D3 mpq cache folders plz?

Sure, also I may have found something. Recently Curse gaming released a gaming network hub called Curse Voice. they promoted this community program with a guaranteed Evolve Alpha access key for joining and running their client. this client has the ability to connect to Steam, Riot games, and other networks to pull friend information and transmit data to those friends to see what you're playing... INCLUDING BATTLE NET. I tried testing my various profiles again with the curse client shut off since it links to the diablo client automatically when you start. Currently I have not crashed after running DB for several hours consecutively. I'm curious if it is affecting the DB client in someway, The D3 Client still stutters while DB is running, and no longer stutters when i pause or deactivated the bot, but it as of now it does not crash when the curse client is shut down.

I'm going to clear the MPQ caches and I will update this post upon testing the bot again with new results.

-EDIT-

After deleting the Cache files the stuttering continues on both versions (stable and beta)

I had FRAPS at one point, but it has been uninstalled for quite some time. Also, I confirmed that the crashing happens only when I have the Curse voice client on and it is linked to the Diablo 3 client. You may test this for your own results.

here is the official website for the Curse Client. Curse Voice <---- This may be a reason alot of our users seem to be having stuttering/crashing issues. I'm going to uninstall it and do a fresh install of D3 later today and then I'll test it again.

Please update us once you do a fresh install of d3

Just a quick update, I got home just a short while ago and am currently Downloading and reinstalling D3 from the Battle net app. Will Update upon full installation and testing on the Stable and Beta builds of DB.

-UPDATE- Upon running the new fresh install the game ran smoothly, running DB alongside it still produced the same results however across the Stable and Beta build, causing .5 - 2 second stutters in the game itself until the bot either paused, engaged a wait timer, or took no action at all. in the few hours i tested the DB clients no crash occurred since the removal of Curse Voice from my desktop.

As a side note, My CPU never wavered to extreme high's or lows.

Have any of you tested to see if Curse Voice is causing issues with your local clients as well?

without curse voice you still have issues?

It's Still stuttering, but my system is not under strain when running the programs, the highest my load gets is 45-50% cpu, 30-40% memory, and the network usage is extremely low through out. So I'm not sure what's up. However after a night of running the Bot I can safely say that any crashes that are left are related to the specific profile that's running.

Awesome, thanks for the help Guys, Also, Just my opinion here, but an advisory post in the Support stickies might be good concerning the curse client being linked until it's other wise proven that it does/ does not, cause crashes or instability in the Demonbuddy client. hopefully we can work out a solution :)

Thanks again for all the help.

I have the same issues as you now, and I have never touched anything curse related. I did switch from Win8 to Win7 though, it ran decent on win8, but I hate win8, so I switched. Now it stutters and freezes about every 5 secs running 64 bit win7.
