my mate just blurted out in guild chat that i bot my guild doesnt know and now i expect blizzard are going to ban me :/

just play it off. gm's dont read gchat unless someone reports u
 
I never understood why people insist on even mentioning the word "bot" when they are botting. The last thing I do is talk about it openly in game where the chat can be logged. Only one person in game knows I bot and I told him to never mention it...if he ever does (hes done it accidentally before) I just pretend like I'm oblivious and send him a text irl to stfu :p
 
I gave him 5k for his silence thats the annoying thing and iim sitting here watching a film and someone in my guild says your quiet today and he turns round and put B.O.T
 
not exactly he is a mate of mine in rl and needed to get 280 so i gave it to him i didnt pay him for his silence but did him a favour so he would be less inclined to mention it
 
This may sound harsh, but as soon as you tell 1 person if any more people find it it's only your fault.

My girlfriend knows, didn't really have a choice there to be honest, she's always around here and would have eventually asked why I left the PC on when I went out. She doesn't play WoW (though one of her sisters does) so it's not a big deal.

I have RL friends in game, even in my guild, and I just don't tell them at all. Why do they need to know? Don't bot on characters you're going to play with friends on, don't bot whilst in a guild. Don't ever tell anyone about botting, there's no benefit to it and there are plenty of reasons to keep quiet.
 
i didnt have a choice either he has my real id i am very careful about who i tell and didnt think he would tell anyone but its looks like trying to fit in with the guild got he thought telling my guild officer would cosey him up.. luckily my guild officer is a nice guy and the other 2 gguild members online are too so they shouldnt mention it to my gm or anyone else

I think not telling them would of been prety stupid considering they would try and chat to me and i would not respond and if gm's can check you whispers that would make it pretty obvious

Anyway doesnt matter now whats done is done ill just make sure i dont tell anyone about the second account im making.
 
Rule nr 1: don't bot while in a 'Public Guild' unless it's a botting guild and you're all in it together.

If you need to farm and don't want to be bugged, make a new toon and farm with that one.

RealID, I never liked it, and I deffo don't use it or hand it out, not to anyone.
 
One person on it is my best mate who knows i bot and uses 1 of my 3 alloted HB's and i had no idea that i would be botting when i initially made my wow account and it isnt like can delete them thats just harsh

Lol yeah i know him and have done since yr 3 :P lol i kinda expected it tbh its what he is like but it doesnt matter if i get kicked from guild it doesnt matter ill just move to a more populated server :D
 
year 3 is like when your 6 btw dont know how the school year system works in places other than uk.. sorry for double post it wont let me edit
