Stuck on "Checking for Buddy Store products. This may take a while"

I've tried a fresh install, as well as disabling streaming on all Buddy Store products, both my paid ones, current trials, and free ones. I haven't been able to get this to work and those were the two answers I found when I searched for previous responses to this problem.

Just wanted to update that I have also cleared my cache as detailed in these instructions http://wiki.thebuddyforum.com/index...s_while_loading_products_from_the_Buddy_Store

I enabled hidden files, went through and found each folder to delete, deleted them, and waited approximately 10 minutes to retry.

I hadn't selected one by that point, and Leaves is streamed into Honorbuddy via a third party client, as I believe the author didn't renew his contract. The third party client wasn't open or running. How can I get around this?
 
whats the 3rd party client you are talking about?
