Stuck at Logging In

Same thing happeing to me...i assume the auth server crashed
 
Ahhh. kk, ty. At least it doesn't appear then to be something that is going to take me hours to diagnose and fix :D.

Hi, Shyoden,

Delete your Honorbuddy/Settings/ directory, and you should be off-and-away.

The Settings directory gets corrupted when Honorbuddy exits ungracefully. Ungracefully exits are obviously crashes, but more frequently its a bug in the design of one of the *Relog tools. Corruption can also occur if you run multiple instances of Honorbuddy out of the same directory on disk.

Hi, Cipro and Ragnarok214,

Please open your own thread. Although symptoms may look the same, the failure modes rarely are. Also, it just confuses everyone when more than one case is handled in a single thread.

When opening your own thread, please be specific about the issue you are having, and you must attach a full log.

That really doesn't help the situation. And instead of having 50 different threads saying 'stuck at Logging in', would it not be better to have one? I have no log because there is nothing to log. I simply can't log in because it is stuck at 'Logging in...'
 
add an exception on your firewall and your antivirus and try again
 
I posted a new log/thread as requested hopefully they will be able to fix this.
 
Before I started the thread I Googled "Honorbuddy Stuck at Logging In". The searches included all these fixes, which I tried, and yet no successful login :(. I even flushed my DNS when I could not connect to the HBAuthentication page either, and nothing has helped.

Any other suggestions please?

its their login servers down, not your issue, just wait 30 min try again.
 
I have tried deleting my Settings folder and my HB is already on the firewall and antivirus exceptions list. I would also like to point out that I cannot connect to Home.
 
check your host files,make sure that its on default values
 
Tony, is there anyway for us to give you more information about this login problem then the logs since there isnt really anything in the logs?
 
Mods ... I hate to outguess you or say anything to the contrary of what you are telling us, but nothing changed on my end prior to not being able to login. Additionally, since I appear to not be the only one experiencing it, it points to it being something other than our individual systems.

At first I even copied a new Honorbuddy on top of the old one, but later I did a completely fresh install and copied over my Profiles and Plugins and some Quest Behaviors to the new HB Folder. Nothing works. When attempting to open an exception in the firewall, one already existed. Again. nothing changed on this end other than the attempts to fix it AFTER it stopped working.

May I add please that this is a VERY important matter, as if my BF sees me not playing ... he'll ask me to cook something.

Might we each PM you our individual locations to see if it is a localized issue?

EDIT:
Not sure if it helps to better identify / pinpoint the issue, but just tried logging in from my laptop and the issue persists. Highly doubt two systems would have become corrupted at the same time.

Thanks for any effort in getting this resolved. I have ALMOST forgotten how to play w/o HB. :)

Yes, several times from my CMD window and the message I received was that it was a successful flush.

I also just ran the BuddyPrequisitesWizard.exe file you linked in another such post. Still nothing.

No biggie though. Guess I'm forced to go do RL stuff until I can log back in. :D

i have same issues, its not localized to an area because my neighbor on same isp is botting as we speak (told him to re log in to make sure wasnt logged from earlier)
