When will the wait for a complete fix happen??? This is starting to be frustrating...
 
Sry nope. I only expect that the devs move a touch faster. It was long until we had the Tripwire disabled version and now much longer until we get a tripwire version. We were under the impression this would have come out on the weekend but here we are on Tuesday with still no hope in sight. We could have gotten an update Sunday saying how close we were to a tripwire version nothing as yet. All being said is watch site but that's not quite sufficient, we should have gotten some sort of update.
 
Hello I had taken an account for all the time. I have now taken an account since 29 March 2017 but I found that you had not yet found a soluton for wow, but subscription continues it turned and has my disavowal, could accredited my new key so that I was not fucked a second time !!! thank you
 
I know in the environment we are currently in this is kind of a false sense of comfort but still I like my fake blanket that I THINK KEEPS ME WARM.
 
when they released the no tripwire version they use that to ride out a longer release. but if it means a more polished and functional bot it's ok with me.
 
Agreed to a point. It just keep a bunch of us that are waiting for a safer version waiting
 
I have to say, these forums must drive HB team mad. People asking (When will it be done) and them giving the same answer over and over again.

How about just fix it with tripwire already? Ive been able to use my bot a whole 2 weeks after purchasing a months account. And Now they say WELL GO AHEAD AND DISABLE THIS and bot so you dont waste your subscription time.

They didn't say that. They said you can turn off Tripwire if you can't stop crying like a kid who doesn't have his icecream for dinner. So... its up to you.
 
and they have mentioned already that if bot is usable only after disabling trip wire, then you do not loose subscription day.
Subscription starts ticking when they have bot that is working with tripwire on.
 
I also do not agree that it is being encouraged. I am only saying there are quite a few of us out here that won't bot without tripwire waiting for a full release. For whatever protection that grants us.
 
TripWire has made zero difference for me with getting banned. They say there's a greater risk, but their anti-Warden mechanisms clearly do nothing. Been banned so many times with TripWire it's ridiculous. So I'm just leaving it off now and pissing into the wind. I don't think it's being encouraged, but if you think TripWire does anything at this point then you haven't enjoyed being banned yet and seeing just how great it doesn't work. Bossland definitely doesn't encourage using it without TripWire ... they're just saying it's an option and you take the increased risk by doing so. Might as well be asking "when can I cheat again?" and realizing how silly that sounds to complain about it.
 
Here's why I never do it no matter how tempted I am....Bliz reads this forum regularly and when they hear that people are going to disable tripwire to bot still I bet they are all giggly inside saying "Like shooting fish in a barrel"...So no. I prefer do with the barely limited protection tripwire offers
 
Like I said, TripWire has never done anything to prevent me from getting banned. The anti-Warden mechanism is not good enough. You can enjoy your false sense of security, but you will eventually get banned. It's as simple as that. The word "safe" has a completely different meaning here.
 
Cat has said it all. Tripwire has never saved us from being banned. I have been a member since 2011 and got 2 accounts banned on here for going against bossland and telling the truth. If you dont want the annoyance of having to create a new account i would watch what you say. Waiting for tripwire is like waiting to get laid it doesn't happen very often and it only last 3 seconds before your back to square one. I remember a time when you could bot for a year before if longer then the bot got popular and now you are lucky to get 3 months before getting hit. There are reasons subs have changed 2 times in the last year and blizz hits us at key moments. all i ask is for you to look at the facts and make your own judgments. Very easy to see the bigger picture.
 
At times I am quite astonished how people not being experts in coding c#, reverse engineering, assembly language, etc. clearly state tripwire is utter nonsense and is not capable of doing anything. As developer I am deeply impressed of what Honorbuddy API offers and how core devs and buddy staff continously keep improving this wonderful bot.

However, although ETAs weren't and won't be announced in the future, something like "we still need at least another 2 days" would be nice as I - and maybe others as well - tend to monitor their mail inboxes hoping for a public update to be published. :)

Having observed all the salty comments the last few weeks, this suggestion probably won't get considered. :(
 
The whole notion on ignoring Tripwire is a terrible argument. It's like saying "I got into a car accident and broke my back! my seat belt didn't stop it so now I drive without a seat belt because it's useless!"

At times I am astonished that people think you require a programming degree to realize that no matter the precautions Bossland has taken, it has not kept a single person from being banned. Think about that.

This is not even remotely the same thing. That is just stupid. This is software in which people get banned regardless of TripWire or not. Bans are an inevitability. Car accidents are not. Seat belts should always be worn because there is a chance it could happen. Using a bot there is a 100% chance of being banned. Dunno if you thought this analogy was witty or something, but it's ridiculous.
