Hi, I'm going to preface this by apologizing if this has already been asked and answer alot. Imo the search function is really frustrating.

I've been using HB for a few days now, leveling a char 15-100 pretty much exclusively using Dungeonbuddy, I've also done some heroics.
It's been working great and while I've been monitoring the majority of the time, it's definitely been afk-able.

I made this toon with the intention of PvPing, so I'd like to start botting some random BG's.
Before getting into it I decided to check out ban-reports and there seems to be bans rolling in every day, from 72hr to perm. Almost all regards the BG-bot.

Here's the question: Is BG-bot unusable at this time? It seems some players have even been banned instantaneously when using it.
Is BG-bot considered detected?

I've also read about Millz BG farmer, it seems undetected.

If someone could clear this up it would be very much appreciated, thank you for reading.

99.99% of bans are reported. Thus dungeonbuddy AND bgbuddy are unsafe. Because you can usually tell that its a bot.

i would not run bgbuddy at all. and i would only run bgfarmer while you're monitoring. never fully afk all night while you sleep or at strange hours where the chance of bot playing are much higher (early morning on weekdays, etc). in my experience when monitoring ingame chat, people regularly look for bots at these hours. on top of that, all it takes is someone seeing you stuck for 2 seconds to report you. i have had no issues running bgfarmer but i'm always smart about it

i would also recommend setting your computer up with a remote connection so you can basically watch and control your computer screen through your smartphone (i use chrome remote desktop)

this

Both are easy to spot.

And Millz bg farmer is just bg buddy with bells and whistles.

Its to obvious.

Only idiots run dungeonbuddy outside of your own 5 man teams. How could anyone at all be surprised when you bot in small, public groups and you get banned?

You want to be a successful botter? Bot in ways that the public won't see you.

It has nothing to do with detection. Any seasoned wow player can spot a bot in about 10 seconds now.

Don't
Unless you want to create a new thread at Ban Section - Ban Reports

Have fully geared 2 toons this week using BG farmer and have had zero whispers or bans from other players. In fact many times my toons were the one who killed the flag runner and returned it. I only botted 4 hours at a time, I turned off "Run flags" because that will get you reported instantly. Other than that i have NEVER had any issues in BGS. Be smart about how and when you do it, its worked for me since it was created. GL HF

I really believe you get banned while using BGbuddy as well as Mills BGFarmer because people report you. I have used Mills BGFarmer while babysitting my computer and it works fine. It's when I go AFK and I will randomly check my computer thru my phone using an app and see that people have whispered me that I'm botting because my character did this or that.

A few years ago, I could literally throw on BGBuddy and go AFK for hours and hours and never get banned. Now, it takes like an hour or so and you get banned. So, you just have to adjust with the times and be smart about things is all.

As for Dungeonbuddy...I would never run that and go AFK in a random group. You are just asking for trouble with that. As people have mentioned previously, I would only use Dungeonbuddy ALONE and never with random people because you will be spotted very quickly as a bot. And once people are trying to confirm whether or not you are real or a bot, it's too late for you and you will be banned as a result.
