Dunno man, I just really don't know. I think I'm going to try and appeal it, might just quit. I've had that account since vanilla, so I guess this was the big one; might be time to either hang up my hat and retire from wow, or get in hard and heavy and sell a **** ton of gold.

EDIT: Just for some perspective, I've been botting since 2007 - I've lost a lot of accounts, I just don't know if it's worth start over again.

Same thing just happened to me, looks like a ban wave going out
 
Lots of fake emails going around, I get 2 or 3 a day, always to my old account that was closed 18months, none to my new ones. The fake emails just grab your log and pass and screw you over. I use gmail for all my accounts and then as a backup it all comes thru mailwasher aswell, gmail filters the bad blizzard ones out automatically for me, and mailwasher grabs the rest. Would be interesting to see what sort of mail filtering software the people who are getting banned are using.

I was useing questing too, but befor i started up the bot i was on lvling eng. skill and once i started it took a flight path and alt tabed i got disscontected and banned

Archaeology, instancebuddy (always attended), and the no-movement combat bot to heal in some higher level content while I watch Dr. Who - Just routine stuff, no hardcore farming, no ah overload, no goldselling. Seems I just ran into some bad luck is all.

Trying to be serious actually, number of my guildies have had their accounts hacked in the last 2 weeks, all been playing for since vanilla, clicked on bad emails, they aren't stupid and they still got sucked in. Just a headsup to be careful thats all.

I'm pretty sure everyone that posted here have had their battle.net accounts checked first.
 
I got 1 banned and 1 locked myself too today, something is defenetly happenin`

HB has 40k+ subscriber it?s normal that allways some people get hit there is going nothing special you just got bad luck and got reported or the banwave on your server hitted you ...

Yes blizzard does not bann all boter?s single. They are Flagging your Account and if it?s time they ban all flagged accounts ... (scare tactic)

Been boting all morning as I have been watching the posts, no problems. The people reporting problems is very small compared to actual users, when Bossland and Tony start posting they have been banned I'll situp and take notice, until then it is just bad luck or stupidity, take your pick.

Just got off the phone with one of my friends, he got banned at the same time I did. Different realms, different bots, different battlegroups, different side of the city, different ISPs.

Disheartening.

May be time to move on. Anyone have any suggestions on different games to play? Seems ISK prices aren't bad these days, for how easy it is to get. Rift's RMT looks good... I might have to pick a less botted game and start coding my own bots again.
 
It's not unusual that blizzard do that, pile reports up and slam few hundreds within the same time.
