Starlight rose farming - how safe is it?

Hi guys,

I recently bought HB and started botting to farm starlight rose. I noticed it costs a lot on many servers (180-220g) and I've also been able to make 500k/day manually on my main account (legit). However... The first day botting I left them to farm overnight and 2/5 accs got banned. The letter said it was from player reports. Now I imagine a lot of people (and bots) farm this and may nerdrage report everything suspicious because they don't want competition. In fact I was threatened being reported while farming manually. Also using public profiles I've noticed 3-4 char bot trains. They're quite obvious... So I've made my own profile after.

Now I'm wondering - did I just get unlucky with reports? Because I have some bots on my friend list (different server) who farm for 3 weeks now, around 16 hours/day I think, they go offline constantly. How is that possible I got banned within the first day of botting and they're doing it for weeks now?

I've been farming Roses for awhile now without getting banned. I usually run the profile ~10h/day.

I do also play my char manually each day so I stop the bot for a few hours while playing manually.

Also, I'm never AFK. Just doing other stuff on my PC while I have the bot running on the 2nd screen. So I'm actually chatting a bit in guildchat, whispers etc while the bot is going.

I did fall asleep once though and the profile ran for 16h and I'm still fine.

Dunno, think you're just unlucky. Maybe I'm safe because if the check logs they will see me chatting and stuff while herbing so they just take for granted I'm not a bot. /shrug
 
ive been running 24/7 for 1 week. then lost 5 accounts.
made 5 new. Currently running 24/7, Been 3 days so far.
Dont bot there if you dont want to risk losing your acc.

Public or private profile? How many hours/day?

I'm still running remaining 3 accs farming roses, but I made my own profile and also cut down the farming time to 12 hours with a 2 hour break in between. Will report back how it goes.
 
I've been running the same profile for weeks with no problem, so far. I made a super long profile, and have spent hours watching it, altering it and putting in blackspots. It's at a point where it is 100% AFKable for me, but I still don't. I put it on the second monitor while I do other things, and I also chat with friends / guildies.

The only thing that would make it basically 100% invisible to players reporting is changing the super bot-like behavior for running toward a node (getting aggro on the way), starting to pick the node, then stopping halfway through the harvest to run 50 yards back to the mob to kill it before reattempting the pick. It's 100% predictable, and I can spot other bots immediately from this behavior.
 
Collect starlight rose for the 2nd month no ban
but bot works maximum 5hours per day
 
You are braindead to leave accounts overnight, let alone some shitty public profile
 
farmed the hell outta these for 8-10 hours at a time (60k gold per 200 on my server). I am on an extremely low pop server that I have been playing on since vanilla, so farming profiles like these are pretty 'safe' for my server, in the sense that i see another person like 5 times an hour. I guess it would depend on how busy your server is
 
being smart about botting helps . dont use same mount as 1000s of other bots . dont use super rare mounts to farm. dont stand out... dont report bots blizzard will look at you just as much as the people you reported . dont AFK if you get stuck = 100s of reports . afk over night is a waste. it is the lowest spawn rate 10 pm - 6am. it is the most botted time 10pm - 6am. people love to play all day and bot all night. never AFK a public profile you will be in a Bot train and get reported. groups do not follow in single file and farm
 
Never use public profiles for much long.
Some of my starlight ones have been downloaded 7000 times and its a really small profile.
Thats also why i have reservation about sharing private profiles i currently use, because its a major safety concern.

Yeah I figured that... Public profiles are a good way to get yourself banned lol.

I use the sky golem, pretty much every legit farmer has one... My new profile doesn't get stuck plus I have antistuck plugin installed. I bot at night because there are less players at that time and I figured that means less chance to get noticed and reported, plus my schedule is fcked so I'm not afk at nights lulz.

Yea I don't know about this. Seems like if you get reported once or a set amount of times (2, 3, 5 idk) that either triggers manual GM investigation, who then observes you in stealth with their GM robe and ban you seeing obvious bot-like movements and behavior - they're probably experienced in that regard. Or it could trigger a script, which analyzes your game stats, like time online, spent in one zone, etc... and if the script confirms suspicious activity, manual investigation is initialized.

Feeling super paranoid bout my remaining accs, I'll probably leave them doing 8hrs/day max. My profile is able to pull 100 roses/hr so that's still 4 stacks of roses.
 
Well, im Suicide botting with DocTabulk public profiles, bot running 24/7 3rd week already started. Sold out around 3.5 milion of gold for 500 euros. Botted with 2 accounts on diffrent servers (high pop both), yesterday added 3rd account :)

Im not braindead they are just Suicide bots farming as much as i can :)

About thread it's pure luck cause as i said im botting 24/7 and selling all once per day so i upload like 2000 starlights on auction house.

I have been suicide botting suramar/stormheim since legion drop 24/7, have a had a total of 7 legion farmer accounts, one has been banned. I have not been safe at all, I think blizz is too busy with Legion to worry about bots right now, a month from now...will be a diff story in my mind. I have even had people wisper me on one of the accounts calling me out as a bot, and saying they are going to report me, that account is still running strong, the one I lost so far was pretty new, only ran it for 2-3 days before ban, very odd. I even still have 4 accounts still online right now botting that haven't got disconnected yet due to the patch that just dropped. Most of my stormheim bots are lvl 105 with XP Turned OFF, idk what could be more obvious, especially since when you turn XP off you get the little buff that everyone can see I think.

Been using public profiles, I have purchased most of the Private ones from the buddy store, I end up just using the Public ones, more NPH and honestly are better I think. I saw some post about how lower node rates between 10pm-6pm, I dont think thats true at all, I run them over night every night, and I always average roughly out the same NPH during the day.

My Auction House accounts however, that I have been selling the mats on the AH, and transferring gold through Guild Banks, I have lost 6 so far for gold selling, Havent lost any gold, mainly because its always sold after having it for a couple hours,but they are paying attention to that Auction House. Best part is, I have been getting these emails from Blizzard on my Auction House accounts, warning me that they added me to the list for buying/selling gold, explaining how its bad for wow...After I get that email I just transfer everything to a fresh BC and use that flagged account to spam my skype name in trade chat until its banned lol. With the BC accounts however, its pretty obvious when you are in trade chat trying to sell 100 stacks of the stormheim herb for 25% less then AH if they buy all stacks, I think I get alot of reports from that.

Now watch, since I wrote this today, Ill get all banned lol...ohh well. ban one, start two more.
