finally i got SC2 here in my holidays :)

Lets build up an famous freaking SC2 Clan :)

if you want me in your Friends List - write me an email to [email protected] and i will add you :)

and after that we can move all of our farmers and put them all in one guild!

Seems like the most logical step to me as well.

But honestly, I'm currently sharing an account with my friend, but hopefully I will be getting my own soon! I keep having this weird thing where during gameplay my computer freezes, the screen goes black, and the sound starts to stutter/loop. The only way I fix it is by force shutdown.

Anyone have any advice for me? I'm running on an ATI Radeon Mobility(?) 4650. I have checked the drivers for updates, and I'm running Directx11. I can't find an answer anywhere.

I read that it was causing Graphics cards to overheat because the cards kept repeatedly rendering the same graphic, they issued a fix by altering the frame rate.

I had this problem with other games. Was using a GTX 285 that was clogged to the brim with dust and thus overheated. The actual error my computer showed was that the driver crashed, but it was purely down to overheating.

Exactly what I am experiencing... And I can notice it heating up.

I have a chill fan and it is set on my desk with good ventilation, but yet it is will still overheat. Should I try and open her up and clean her out?

You should. I used to have my case open and blast a fan in also, made no difference. I went to town when I did mine. I took my case off my gfx card to clean it out and virtually took my pc apart. I used 3 cans of compressed air doing it as I have a huge pc, just be careful if you use it as the pressure can damage some of the delecate components if you're not careful.

I managed to drop 30 degrees from my temps.

So I was gonna "open her up" but then I was like... oh wait this is a laptop.

What's the next best possible way to get my Vid Card cleaned?

EDIT: So far solutions options are:

A) put a vacuum on vent
B) get a straw, insert into the vents and blow.

I'm leaning towards options A

EDIT 2: http://www.ehow.com/how_5217974_clean-notebook-computer.html

Says NOT to do Option B, and TO do option A. So here goes nothing.

EDIT 3: no visible dust got sucked out (from what I saw), but maybe it helped... I also vacuumed my keyboard as well :D

just one guy wants to be my friend in SC2, either no one of you plays SC2 or no one wants a pro in his Flist

4650 does NOT support Directx11.

You may have installed the latest dx package... but your not using dx11... 4650 can only support 10.1. And tbh the 4650 aint much of a workhorse... ive heard SC2 has some poorly coded scenes that make 58xx, gtx4xx cards struggle ~ 30 fps.

lol I like how this went from a "Join me in SC2" to a video card support section.

have not really much time to play, else i would be diamond too - it just needs more than 15 played games

I tried to Friend request you, but for some reason it just didn't work... I mean I installed the game, and I opened it up, but apparently it asks for a key that costs 60 dollars.... I know for a fact this 60 dollars was not listed on the requirements page. I saw someone had sent a letter to Blizzard about this same exact thing... Perhpas if you were to give me 60 dollars I would ponder buying the key and playing SC2 with you... Or I 100% would....Up to you Bossland.

Well, it would only make sense that they'd make you purchase a game that's been in development for many many years now. lol.

This might sound extreme, but it works:

Just use the air compressor! ^^ Even though you?re blowing Air into the PC, it makes the Fan spin, freeing some of the dust. Or you could just take the buttom off, and take out the dust.

Hey Boss! I'll join you soon... Just working on swinging the $60US... My WoW habit with the whole family keeps the money strings tight, but I'd love to get into a clan with you.
Will keep monitoring this thread to see how things are going...

To the person who is wondering about Blizz charging $60 for the key.... you don't have to pay $60 for the key... run down to your local store and buy the game in the box... it's $60!!
Do you honestly think Blizzard is going to give away a game it has SEVERAL YEARS invested in development??
Boss is inviting those who have SC2 and want to join him to do so.

AZ

Does anyone have a "Recruit a friend" or a few invite keys for this game? I?d like to try it before I buy it :D
