Is there a plugin or any POSSIBLE way to NOT HAVE my character happily stand in AOE attacks? It's like the number 1 way my character f**ks up and dies. It also makes it very clear that my character is a bot because even idiots move out of the fire. Thank you.

a lil bit more details?
- BotBase
- Profile
- CC
- Mob
- Spell / Attack

CLU has already some basic avoidance of Groundeffects which should work for Questing, Grinding, Archbuddy, AutoAngler ... but we are still working on this to fit more of these attacks

It would be an interesting plugin, but:

it probably shouldn't get you tagged as a bot. (you know you are a bot and therefore interpret things as bottish, where another group member would just think you were a bit dopey)

I've primarily been a healer since the games release, and still 1 group in 3 gets at keys players standing in aoe.
The really funny ones then rage at the healer for not healing :).
At this point, right after the expansion, there are more of these players than I can ever recall!

I have seen players fail at standing in shit several times. So it makes you look like an idiot. Not a bot. If you run them afk. Then it will make you look like a bot ofc. If youre talking about dungeons

Anyone? Please? :(

This is a movement issue, and has been long-standing since HB's inception. The problem is that there is no simple way to check whether or not you're standing in something unless a Routine/Plugin code writer wants to parse every bit of data that comes through your combat log (maybe there is something in the API for that but I don't want to spend hours sifting through the Object Browser). The only really easy check is whether or not you're taking damage, but there's not as easy a way to find out what you're taking damage from. For this reason when you run a bot in instances or raids it is recommended to use lazy-raider and have movement disabled so you can control whether or not your bot is standing in something it shouldn't be.

It makes running instances/bg's/raids unattended a very, very, VERY bad idea. But then botting unattended has always been a bad idea. So either disable movement and stay at the computer to control movement yourself, or get used to dying in fire. Or the third option would be to write your own brilliant Combat Routine/Plugin that figures out when you're standing in something bad and moves you out of it.

Thank you very much for the many responses which have answered several of my questions. I'm sorry for my ignorance. Not standing in aoe damage and moving the char seemed simple to me.
I was hoping that there there was some option to have the bot move in a certain way. I thought it could move to the left, right, or even back up out of the aoe damage. I thought something basic like that would have the problem closer to being solved. I'm sorry I assumed players knew not to "stand in the fire". I tend to have my char in combat-bot, using CLU and toggling movement on and off. I was just hoping there would be a better way for it to not take aoe damage. I did not mean to ask the impossible of people kind enough to create such programs and plugins.

It is scary but many players dont move for fire, whether it be actual fire, jade fire, or purple nastiness.

Some are stupid, some are lazy, and other dps arrogantly assume that the healer should be able to keep them alive when they choose not to move. ( the last sort often don't get anymore healing from me, and encounters are typically easier once they are dead anyway :) )

I can only hope that one day this is possible. : / Or at least something is created to not make a char look like a moron with it's ass on fire.
