Hey everyone, i just ran a speed test for my internet connection and wanted to compare it to others and see what kind of speed im getting?

I did the speed test at SpeedTest.Net

Also notice my distance... I live up by Portland, OR...

The internet doesn't work on shortest route. It works on fastest. And it all depends on which backbone and circut you connect too to determine your speed. Along with your ISP and the bullshit traffic shaping software they use along with the routers you gotta connect too also.

nah..the number is lie...the truth is DL rate of my connection is capped at 100kb/s
 
Mkay, im starting to feel like i have some abnormally large bandwidth.
 
I have ridiculously high upload speed compared to most.. about 7-8mbps.

no ide awhy
 
Did this test the other day, my virgin internet supplier is very mean i get exactly what i pay for. 20 mb Download speed and a very small up load, but only after i had run an internet optimization.

I have never seen anyone have more upload then download except myself befor lol.... But I had it for years
 
all you euro's and your fast internet! And I'm not paying for verizon fios, and comcast doesn't provide for my area.
