Spam : Is growing and I am concern.

We all know Pirox went down. And we all happy that peeps are joining us here on one of the best automation tools out-there. Now I am concern with increase of spam we receiving. From just posts to the new one private messages. Why the hell I want buy wowgold? I am a freggin botter, i can farm my own gold.

Now i think is a concern too for bossland, tony, and all the admins. Is time consuming to be cleaning after someones poop.

Is there a way or plan in motion, to link accounts with an ID or something so we continue to enjoy HB Forums without the spammers?

the main thing is NEVER Buy Sell Trade with anyone PM'ing you or anyone on the forums for that matter, not only can you not trust them, we cant ether, and theres no way if they rip you off we can do anything about it.

i already killed 5 pm spammer accounts today. the main problem with pm spam is that unless i get sent one directly, i cant remove the spam from everyone inbox. the time i did get sent one, i was able to remove the 43 pm's the bot sent out and was able to ban it. pm spam is pretty new, but not completely unheard of, but its the same with normal spam, if you dont report it, i can do anything about it, specially in the case of PM spam, i cant see it. but all spam that gets reported i go in and not only ban the users, but ban the ip address as well, so rest assured we are doing everything we can, but we cant stop it all.

the best way you can help is to report the PM or Post, by reporting it, an E-mail i sent out to All the Forum moderators, Me, Tony, Kick, and even people Like Hawker, Bossland and Apoc. i always have my e-mail open (unless im sleeping and even then ill get up to go to the restroom and if i see a reported post i deal with it then) and we go in and kill the user account, remove the posts, and ban the ip.

to report the post all you gotta do is click on the Exclamation Sign at the bottom of the post, on the left hand side.

so im sorry for all those effected, but im doing everything possible to make sure the site stays spam free, unfortunately you cannot be as proactive since the whole game takes place after the fact. but as long as people do their part we can keep the forums nice and clean.

maybe, but right now with there being a ton of users theres a lot of legitimate problems coming in via PM's from people who cant post otherwise, like people who for whatever reason didnt get a verification e-mail.

I rarely see spam on here. I don't like the idea of a closed forum. Then prospective customers can't see what they are gonna buy.

just use report function for the spammers and we will clear teh shit asap
