So i decided to maybe purchase this bot for botting some alts. Now the problem is i have a Cataclysm account right now with my main and some other alts that i really don't want to get banned.

So i guess i need to buy another account? What do i need to buy? Only cataclysm ?
Also do i need to install the game again? Or can i just use the wow.exe from my current account.

Also when i decide i have leveled up enough alts with the bot, can i merge my account with my current one? And then stop botting.

Not exactly sure on what the question is but if you're asking if you can bot on different wow accounts with honorbuddy then yes. All you do is open the game up, log in with the char that you want to bot on, then set honorbuddy up. When you are done with the char you want botted or whatever you can switch accounts and bot on a different char. I hope that answers some of your questions.

Ok, you can't just buy Cata to create a new account. You have to buy the original game (vanilla) along with all of the expansions to run it all the way to level 85. That doesn't mean you have to start off with that of course. I just bought a battle chest (vanilla + BC) for about $20 US and then just bought Wrath. The only way you could merge the two accounts (if I've read what others have said correctly) is if both have the same name... which could be a problem if you want to reduce the risk of the 2nd account effecting the first if anything should 'go wrong' (a ban).

The question comes down to what are you looking to do with your new account? I am still working my toons up both in level and professions so I am still botting somewhat with my main account (with careful supervision of course) but the new account will eventually be just gatherers and other gold making activities to fuel my main account via a guild bank.

You won't need to reinstall the game. When you log in, if you login with a different account it will automatically only allow whatever level of the game is purchased with that account.

I just want to use honorbuddy for creating PvP toons. I really don't want to bot on my main account i think its too risky.... And i just don't want to pay for two seperate account every 2months :/

EDIT: What i can do is: Make an second account with the same lastname, but different middle name. So i can merge... But must there be an investigation on my bot account, they can't ban my main account right? (might be the same IP adres).. Just can say my brother plays on same computer as me?

But then i can't run both account at same time i guess?
