so I'm looking into setting up an ALT account that would run the bot and farm gold but I'm just curious of some situations.

If I do make an alt account with separate info/not linked to my main account, in the event that the ALT account is banned what are the chances of my main account also being banned?

I would likely have the bot farm 8-10 hours Daily (or just a few days a week), would this be considered "greedy" and likely to bring upon the ban hammer?

What would be some steps in terms of transferring gold from an ALT account? Would it be suggested to go through a guild? or just buy what you want and transfer it?

Hope this is the proper forum.

Hi, CuriousGeorgez, and welcome aboard!

The Support forum is for helping people with broken Honorbuddy installations. We've moved your question to the general Honorbuddy forum, where it belongs.

cheers,

Welcome CuriousGeorgez.

1)There is one rule when it comes to botting: "Do not bot if you have accounts that you care for".

It is unusual to see Blizzard banning unbotted main accounts. That said, it has happened before and Blizzard is acting really unusual lately. It happened to me, because of guild linking. So, see 1)

There is no point of being "greedy" or not "greedy" based on play time. Of course, if Blizzard checks accounts and see an account being on for 3 consecutive days, that is not a 100% sure bot, but it is a 99% sure bot.

No one really knows if time farming plays a big role on getting the ban sooner or later, so it's all up to you.

Regarding gold transfer, guild transfer or AH are the methods considered "safer".

Can't tell you what's 100% safe since anyone who claims to tell you that would likely be lying, but here's what I do.
-Run a few accounts that farm dungeons 12-16 hours daily.
-Transfer gold through gbank
What you should know however is that if you're going to do the same as me you should be expecting the farming accounts to get banned at some point. On average my accounts last 3-4weeks. (3-7 days leveling to 90, rest of the time actually farming) If you look at it in a "worth" perspective, each bot costs 5-10$ and a few days of time, and makes ~ 220k-300k in its' lifetime.
As to if your unaffiliated account will get banned, it's unlikely but nonetheless a possibility. And just so you know, if you plan on transferring anything from a bot account to your unaffiliated account, in my opinion it might as well have been botted on itself.

Run alt account on separate pc, tranfer via ah or just buy items. Bear in mind, there is no 100% safe methods atm anyway.

Do you guys know anyone that got his main acc banned because he was botting on his secondary acc ?
With game time tokens and all, secondary account botting looks more intresting.

yes some people have gotten their main accounts banned as well when not botting on their main account. There is many reasons to this and most of the time botters lie so its hard to find out the exact reason. If your main account profits from your botting in anyway and they find out about that they can still take action against you.

Yes, I was. My main account was played from another comp and never ever touched a bot. He was guilty by association, as he had lvl 1 alts in botting guilds (used mainly as a safeguard, as I never thought they could ban a non-botting account and non-gold-selling account). I went through several appeals with no luck at all. No explanation was given, fact is they can do whatever they want without even give an explanation.
