Hi!

I recently tried getting back into WoW but the recent banwave coupled with nobody I know playing anymore kind of cinches it for me. I figure I'd give Wildstar a shot but I have a couple of questions (some bot related, some not I suppose.)

From what I can glean from the forums, out of the box 1-50 questing profile pack isn't currently supported and that DD's questing pack is being worked on. Which leads me to...

Is there a step-by-step quest guide somewhere? I understand what zones to be in but finding the right quest hubs is a pain in my ass. I'm so used to WoW being fairly linear... "do some quests, deliver this package to the next quest hub for me, okay?" In Wildstar I seem to be quickly outleveling the quest hubs and they don't seem to have followups or breadcrumbs.

Given that a guide exists, I don't mind taking the time to create quest profiles. In the meantime, how effective are grind profiles if you don't have a main to support gear upgrades?

there's not really something like that, since there are so many ways to increase your xp gain (guild, signature, authenticator, flasks, rested...) you'd have to make around 200 different guides for all combinations for it to work out right.

but it's pretty easy to get around in wildstar. if the quests you're accepting aren't slightly (1-2 levels) above your level, just abandon them, open up rapid transport and go where the level range is 1-2 level above yours, you can instantly accept all quests there, no problem.

grind profiles are extremely effective. you don't really need gear except the gear that drops anyway. if you put the runes that drop occassionally into your gear, mobs will just melt with every single class.

Can't be that big of a variance, 10% boost to XP in total maybe?

I'm just wandering around and finding quest hubs where the mobs are at my level but it seems like a shitty way to get to 50 haha.

it's a huge difference. rested xp means 100% more xp (could be rested all the time through flask of r&r), flask of advancement is 50% more xp, signature bonus is 25% more xp, renown xp flask are 8 or 10%, guild bonus is 8 or 10%, authenticator bonus is 2/3%... so the variance is about 200% depending on which of those you have :x

Holy shit. I was basing everything off the authenticator being 2% or whatever that everything else would be low as well.

yup. but as i said, rapid transport is your friend. if you're done with a quest hub, open it up, look which level range the different points available are and choose one thats slightly above your level (1-2 levels). it only costs like 3-7g (once per hour) and takes you directly to a quest hub with the correct level range. if you're done there, just fire up rapid transport again. that's probably the fastest way to level in wildstar.

that being said.. a profile which looks at your level, chooses the appropriate questhub and rapid transports there automatically everytime would be a very good idea instead of the per-zone questing profiles. would mean people could concentrate and collaborate much easier on profiles for specific single questhubs at a time, which would be much easier than worrying about how and where to move everytime you're done with a quest.
