[SOLVED] HB won't load

Hi, Grenmar, and thanks for the log.

Let's start by making certain your dependencies are okay. Please use the installer, not the zip file, to re-install Honorbuddy. It will make certain all the OS dependencies are present and intact. You can find the installer here:

If no joy, the other possibility is interfering programs. These two articles will guide you through eliminating the usual suspects:

It worked Sunday, changed nothing, Monday it didn't work. I've tried the installer, I've tried a fresh install with the zip. This log is from the installer. Not running an antivirus haven't added any programs from Sunday to Monday.

Do you try to attach to a minimized wow window?

Hi again, Grenmar,

After addressing Tony's concerns...

If you believe you are "not running an Antivirus", then you almost assuredly are running Windows Defender by default. Please make certain the Honorbuddy folder is an exception to Windows Defender. Here are the instrutions again:

Also, you absolutely have NO programs on our list installed? ("Disabled" is still installed.)

Swapping to dx11 allowed it to boot up.

China - thank you for the list. I can tell you that I haven't changed ANY settings on my computer as far as adding programs. The bot worked Sunday night, I woke up Monday morning it didn't work.

Hi, Grenmar,

Thanks for the follow-up, and VERY glad you are off-and-away!

For future readers...
Obviously, something did change—otherwise, the Buddy bot would still be working. But, 'the change' might not be attributable to direct user actions.

"Nothing changed" is a specious argument. At a very minimum, most Antivirus will silently update multiple times a day without asking your permission, or informing you. These updates frequently contain new fingerprints or heuristic algorithms that will interfere with Buddy bots.

For similar, but harder-to-see reasons, other 'interfering' programs will cause problems (without you changing anything). You might have had an interfering program on your computer for a while, and its been innocuous so far. But one day, it will up and bite your Buddy bot for no apparent reason. We've learned this time-and-time-and-time again.

This is why was ask that such things be checked. The articles we linked in this thread, explain most of it.

cheers,
chinajade
