Hey, long term user of HB here, i am usually able to fix all my own problems or find information on how to somewhere on the forums but this one completely baffles me...

This first occurred on my hunter tonight. I always login to my accounts via HBrelog and let it attach HB for me, i'd been using HB on the character for hours and when i paused enyo routine it froze and closed. Ever since this happened HB now restarts, logs in and then immediately closes before anything can possibly happen, i mean HB is literally popping up on my screen for 2-3 seconds and then closing over and over again.

I've tried attaching manually and i get the same problem and i've even tried a completely fresh install. I've attached 2 logs, the first 1 is of my usual HB folder and the 2nd is my fresh install.

This is a failure mode we've never encountered before. Please bear with us as we dope through it. The problem appears to be related to DirectX.

The first thing to try is to switch the game client from DX11 mode to DX9, and restart the WoWclient. More info here:

If no joy, the next thing to look for is that your video drivers are up-to-date.

If still no joy, let's look for an interfering program:

If the problem remains after taking the above actions, please toss us a fresh log.

Thanks for the fast reply, i'll check that i'm running on DX9, i should be because i haven't changed it for years. I also actually just updated all my drivers and video drivers 5-6 hours before this as i'd never done that before, they were years out of date and now they aren't. I'll check the DX9/DX11 mode now and let you know.
 
I was running on DX11, i changed this to DX9 and the same is happening, HB was working fine after my driver updates all day/afternoon/evening and most of the night. Here is a fresh log after the change.

Are you running the game client in Fullscreen mode (instead of Windowed mode), perchance?
You might also check to see if Windows updates are available, since you recently updated the drivers.
It will also be worth pursuing the 'interfering programs' path.

We've got an inquiry into the team for possible causes and corrections, but right now we're stumped.

Windowed mode, thanks for the help so far.

Edit: no windows updates available and i'm not sure what an 'interfering programs path' means. I'm not as tech savvy as i seem.

I've just done some very minor updates on avast, updates so small they couldn't of really done much. I was still experiencing the same problem so i closed wow and HBrelog, i tried to start via the launcher and log onto my Mage instead but exactly the same issue, log attached.

I also closed AMD gaming Evolved incase that was the issue but no change, there isn't anything else running on the computer that could be affecting it and nothing else in the above applies.

Very sorry the efforts have been unsuccessful. Thanks for covering all the bases.

We're still waiting on a response from the senior staff, and Tony frequently has better insight into these things.

I restarted my pc, for the 3rd time since this issue began and it seems to be working all of a sudden. This is really odd and i'm sorry if i've wasted your time.
 
If it happens again, I can recommend trying Display Driver Uninstaller from Guru3D, reinstall newest drivers and then unselect AMD Gaming Evolved/Raptr/Whatever it's called now. Has caused me issues before. Also the DirectX Web Installer would not be bad to run.
 
Yep everything is fine now, if anything like this happens again i will let you know after trying what Jiniix has said. Thank you.
