[SOLVED] **db error** (Riptide split out)

I am experiencing a similar issue with the latest build. Fresh clean install of DB, no addons other than the ones that come in the installer. Only piece of potentially relevant information that hasnt already been stated is that I am running on Windows 10. I have uninstalled all versions of the c++ redist packages, and run the BuddyWizard.

In the Support forum, please don't piggyback on someone else's thread, and open your own, instead. We've already done the courtesy of splitting your post out into its own thread.


As to your issue, you've a program that is interfering with proper Demonbuddy operation. These articles will walk you through the usual suspects:

Sorry guys, didnt mean to hijack the other thread. I was just trying to add some info to what appeared to be the same issue. I will remember in the future though and create my own post :)

I am now, sorry took so long to respond. As a developer I am bent on finding out exactly what causes issues :).

The issue appears to be with the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview release. Uninstalling and reinstalling the c++ redist packages, as well as a full clean and reinstall of .Net did not have any effect, so I did a roll back to the previous Win 10 release. This cleared up the issue. Not sure exactly what was in the latest Win 10 release, but this also explains why people that are doing a full format and reinstall of Win 10 are working again.
