[SOLVED] Buddy Updater not Working

Have tried uninstalling via Programs/Features in Control Panel, followed by deleting the folder and it's entire contents, then emptying recycle bin, then restarting, a fresh install. Still doesn't work.

Have tried doing the repair function.

Have tried Running as Administrator.

Tried running as admin from cmd window.

Tried restarting again after fresh install.

Help?

Running Windows 10 with the latest .net Framework on a very up to date computer (8 core processor, 16 gb of ram, gtx 980's SLI'ed, etc)

It looks like you've got a zombie process running somewhere keeping a file locked. Easiest way to clear the problem is simply reboot your machine.

Unfortunately this happened after 3 consecutive reboots.

Sorry that didn't get you going.

Awwrighty, let's try a clean install, then. Be sure to put Honorbuddy into a NEW directory.

As stated in the article, for the clean install it is important that:
  • The 'installer', not the zip file, is used to perform the installation.
    You will need to run the installer with Windows administrator privileges. The installer is available here:
  • Your Windows must be completely patched for the installer to work. (E.g., Win7 must have SP1 installed + updates).
    Keep running Windows Update until there are no more patches to apply. This may require rebooting your machine several times.
  • The installer must be an exception to your AntiVirus.
  • The directory in which you install the Buddy bot must be an exception to your AntiVirus.
  • You copy nothing from a previous Honorbuddy installation
  • You do not install any third-party products
  • You disable the streaming of all content from the Buddy Store
