Sold a bunch of stuff at the RMAH and got this in an email:

Thank you for participating in the Diablo III Auction House! An auction associated with your account recently completed and is now in review.

This review is a routine step to ensure that every transaction is handled safely and securely for auction participants. If the transaction is approved, the auctioned item will be delivered to the buyer within 48 hours. Proceeds from this auction will be delivered to the seller's account within 5 days and in most cases within 72 hours.

I'm boting on that account right now.

Should I be worried?

I wouldn't bot until the item were gone tbh.

I think you answered your own question. It heard it takes up to 72h for the transaction to be completed or something.

Also worrying won't get you anywhere. Its all set and done. But would be nice if you could report if everything went by smoothly.

I would suggest you to stop botting till you get the money. ( also depends on how much did it worth? )

At little over $300. Thats why im worried :/ I sold one nice crossbow with 100+ crit and 3 crappy legendarys.

There is a nasty scam where people were paying the buyout price on 100s of items, getting the items and then telling paypal all the transactions were invalid. 1000s of people lost both their items and their money and a few farmers made ridiculous money.

The "review" cooldown prevents that - don't be worried about it.

ahh screw it. I sold all my good stuff.

Im just going to farm Sarkoth while I still can.

Hopefully im not the first to get banned :[

You reckon thats the reason EU RMAH is delayed?

Thanks, I was hoping it was just on the transaction side

How is this even possible... I'll never use the RMAH except to sell gold, and even then I'll prefer trying to find private buyers myself.

and what dps was the bow? thats a whole lotta money for very little

Yeah, one of the problems with selling digital goods (that I did for over a year) was that credit cards didn't understand digital goods and doesn't seem to have any system to protect against it, basically out of date and only works for physical items... I hope one day they'll fix that (and they will, but it will take about 5-10 years for them to catch up).

Customers always want instant access or it's a chargeback'o time.

They basically log onto a public computer, wifi, or friends computer, access their paypal, buy the goods, and then report it was unauthorized and that they were hacked.

I find that asking the buyer to send it as a gift, with a note saying "virtual goods received, no chargeback" usually works. Of course, I always ask them to pay first as well.

Edit- And of course that won't work on RMAH.

"your account is being reviewed"

is this for the seller and the buyer?

Been there, done that. I still get a letter once a month saying I owe Paypal 450 euro's, because some dude scammed me :). For fuck's sake, I even provided proof that at one point the e-mails came from the same IP. But Paypal does not care about that...
