I was running my bot overnight like I do normally, and when I woke up my game had a box saying I was disconnected from the Blizzard Server. Was like Shit BANNNEDDDDDDD. But, instead attempted to log back in and it said my account was locked for security reasons please check your phone for an sms. I got one and re logged back in.

Now, I checked my email and I had received 13 emails from Blizzard a couple minutes from each other all saying your account was accessed from an unusual location therefore we are locking your account.

Meaning someone got my password somehow, and attempted to get in.

So my question is has this happened to anyone here before?????

And how the fuck did someone get my diablo 3 passwords?

Happened to me once.
However, on my main account that never saw bot.

I also have SC2+HOTS registered there so I crapped my pants a little.
Perhaps some leaks from Blizzard's servers again?

I suggest:

  1. Using a unique email address. This means that you have not used this email address on any other system, website, server, game or application, and no one else in the world knows about it, except you.
  2. Using a unique password. Same rule as your email address.
  3. Keep your unique email and password stored in an encrypted file - be it spreadsheet, password manager or something else.
  4. Use an Authenticator - even something like WinBMA or WinAUTH. Yes, Demonbuddy doesn't support them, but, it will prevent your account from ever being hacked - it works!
  5. Run good antiviris AND antimalware - like Microsoft Forefront and Malwarebytes Pro.
  6. Don't run any programs that you don't trust, and scan every program you download with your antivirus and antimalware tools. Keyloggers are everywhere.
  7. Have your computer behind some kind of SOHO Firewall/router - don't leave it directly connected the internet.
