Hi admin/dev/bossland,

So I'm one of those people who opted not to upgrade my keys.

Is there anything I can still do with it or is it a complete and total loss?

You mean the old lifetime keys?
They still work for HB1 and HB2, just not HB3.

So if you can find somewhere to use HB1 or HB2, then you can use the key to run those bots.

Probably. They can make the claim that lifetime was only for the lifetime of HB1 and HB2 and that it wasn't grandfathered into HB3. Just how Microsoft would do for Windows 7, 8 and 10.
But that's a whole topic on its own that people love to argue over, lol.

It sure is a different topic, comparing HB1 ,2 and three to windows 7, 8 and 10 is just stupid imo :D

At least my windows 98 still works :D

And if what you say is the argument for the Lifetime key anal rekt without lube, Microsoft at least honors the windows EOS and EOL :)

HB 1 and 2 still work. You just cant use them with Updated versions of WoW just like HB 3 wont work on your still working Windows 98

And yet I have a lifetime key that was supposed to be at least be supported for 3600 days or even longer depending on how far WoW would make it :D

Either way it was required to carry on running Honorbuddy and other bots. Its either what you have now or nothing. I'm sorry about that we all lost out :(
 
Ye what a scam, after a little bit of a WoW break, I thought about using HB again...then I read that my LIFETIME key does not work anymore since they need money xD
What a scam. But whatever, I won't be coming back. I think that idea of scamming ppl for more money will shoot right back at you.
Call it what you want or make that shit officially legal by naming the HB different versions, we all know it is a scam and you know it too. The last breath of a dying company and you waste it by ruining your reputation.

The legion buddy project for 200 bucks already seemed fishy, the lifetime key scam is just the aftermath.

what they should have done to at least not make it such a big deal was give all lifetime keys a 2 year expiration from NOW, not from when they were purchased. would've saved them from most complainst and about 99% of the people they'll loose cus of this bullshit

The life time change was a long time ago, I am sorry for your loss...but its safe to say they will not be reversing/changing their decision.
 
haha wont be reversing the change honorbuddy is one its last legs now same as shadow bot wont be long they will be no more in wow bit weak to take lifetime
off your loyal customers tho its just greed shame im not paying again for a key tho to a product that's on its way out was fun while it lasted

Yet they supported a bad business decision for as long as they financially could. They got driven into a corner by blizzard with the most recent lawsuit. I would rather them do this then shut down like many other providers would.

And here you are crying about a 10~20$ "loss"(Price of the lifetime key way long ago) 4 months later. Just a one auth key can currently make you about 70~125$ / month when it only costs about 15$ USD and the gold price is much lower then the past along with it being harder to gold farm. The lifetime key most likely paid for itself tens if not hundreds of times over for the general user.

BTW, Most games charge about 100$ /month for the quality of bot HB offers.

No one here wants them to shutdown. However bad business decisions were followed by even worse pr decisions. If they had communicated clearly, openly and transparently their would be alot less negative sentiment and customer loss.

As far as i know, regarding your situation @JGreen would be to play on a private server, the only place one could use HB2 currently.

Also there is no bots which cost > $50 usd pm get real lol...

Can HB2 actually be used on private servers now? I thought they weren't meant to work with private servers.
 
The problem is that bossland said that a lifetime key = subscription lasts 10 years.
Wich they dident honor at all, so i understand alof of people are mad.
And i understand with all the legal shit, they have to get money somewhere

Well good luck with it and sorry that there was no other way.
They have no imprint, no idea if they pay taxes and after the first nice letter from Blizz they will be gone :)
Not to forget that forums are only open to members and it's for rotations only which you have to buy one buy one.
In general a good bot and everyone is free to go for it. I wish them all the best (really!)
 
I don't understand why people saying they were scammed lifetime was only for hb 1 and 2 and it's sad how people compare a rotation bot to hb.
