So I just got back from a 6 month ban

I'm curious what now. I sadly lost my tanking spot so I'm forced to go DPS (even healers are full :/ )

Sure my own fault, although I didn't use it for high profile stuff, not at all nagging about that. But it seriously impacted my mood for wow, to a point where I'm like: might as well bot, all I have to lose is a "meh" spot in the guild.

But, knowing full well that when you bot getting banned is happening more than likely, what are my chances if I do low profile stuff like lvling my dps/rep grind to get banned now my account is flagged?
 
Well odds are you won't be reported for what you are mentioning. Odds of manual review are low too, because there are so many accounts coming off ban that they will not be looking at your one account.

So what would really do you in is another detection ban wave.
We cannot tell the odds of that but if you get hit on same account again its 18 months ban for you. If you can do with out the account that long, go ahead and risk it. Just do not bot an account you do not want to lose.
 
Ok fair enough, thx for the reply. In all honesty I used to care about that account, built a great history in it... but right now. busy with life (kid/gf etc).. getting it banned for 18 months will off course suck.. but yeh nothing that would make me feel bad

Tho I must say in the time that I used honorbuddy, I had quite a few issues with lvling scripts. Player getting stuck and stuff like that, I do think that was an added reason for my last ban. (not saying it's "the" reason but added to it)

And I'm tempted to start a gold account, not entirely sure what approach to take. Above lvling issue is why I haven't done so yet as I don't want to spend time and "some" money in it (still have to buy the accounts) and insta banned with no real use of it. + not entirely sure what scripts to take.
 
just cause you get banned cause of reports dose not mean the developers are at fault. its when you do certain things constantly and do it where ppl go to it with high traffic.

Well not blaming the devs at all (and yeh I know you reply to messycan) .. but quite a few (even paid) profiles out there are just facepalm worthy and I'm not even sure if it's the profile or buddy.

Like I noticed that several different profiles (during lvling) get stuck on exactly the same stuff, so that kinda suggests buddy being to blame. And don't get me started on the random flying up in the air for 0 reason.

And not saying it's why I got banned, but I do think it added to it.

This would be the biggest reason I am mostly weary, like if there's a profile out there, a perfect HB setup, that makes levelling "flawless" (I can ofc live with some flaws, perfect also raises suspicion ofc) .. makes rep grinding "flawless" .. and I'd like some gold accounts (still 0 clue on how to start one that is self sustaining)
 
Alot of people that farm for gold make their own profile. Ive talked to several farmers and they all say they have multiple profiles that farms gold for them or mats. Maybe you should look into making a couple profiles yourself that isnt public and seeing if that helps out. Yeh alot of profiles have flaws like the leveling profiles but its whats out in the community at the time. So like i said before tho, making your own profiles decrease the chance to get banned. So that could be a starting point for you to get back into the farming of gold. I have a account right now. it farms gold/mats/ and other important things. I do multiple things and i edit profiles i use to give them uniqe ness to them and also fix some flaws.
 
well writing the profiles don't seem to difficult :P but then my question rises: "what" should I focus on when writing profiles. I'm terrible in gold making in game :P If I knew how to I wouldn't have need for a gold account ^.^
