just about every profile i try to run messes up in major ways/works half the time. have to work on it for hours and find solutions.. i mean literally nothing works right after u install it. soooooo many bugs and problems. i really need to vent. i just dont see how every single profile has so many bugs. is it because of wow patches seems like stuff gets even more buggy after every patch.

just leveled 3 guys to 80 and it has been one hell of a ride. right now for an example just got through the hell of doing mount hyjal quests bots flying off to other zones keep running into the fire mobs. i have to stop to clear the cache constantly. Bot will quest ok sometimes though its not all the time but its still half the time its bugging out. . its like trying to herd cats. that and constantly getting ganked by no lifer nerds that camp leveling areas all day but thats besides the point. why do bots not attack back when some idiot tries to gank you? i know they used to. just ALWAYS something is messing up. my girlfriend is wondering why im always pissed lately.

Another example recently just installed the SALESMAN bot lite version. read 20 pages of the entire thread set it up perfect. the thing still messes up doesnt post what i tell it to always posts my entire stock of ghost iron instead of 5stacks. so i have 100 stacks of ghost iron ore up when i come back... i mean EVERYTHING i install and try.. Yes i did ask for help but apparently the guy doesnt help ppl with it anymore.

yes i can do much better with punctuation grammar but idc right now. just wondering if anyone feels the way i do.


update: just tried to do black rock caverns with my 3 to get some xp since u cant quest on my server because of the insane amount of horde. so 2 of my bots just randomly leave the dungeon 5mins in .one guy left i manually made him leave he gets the dungeon deserter.. LOL fun never ends with this

Sorry to hear you're having problems. I've boosted two guilds myself to 25 by questing, so I'm fairly familiar with Kicks profiles. I did not run the bots as a group however.

Regards your question of your bot attacking back -this depends on the CC you are using. Some CCs have an 'attack out of combat' option which you may wish to investigate.

RE: Questing -Most people would suggest Questing as the 'safest' route to levelling, which seems to be your endeavour. However, Questing is unfortunately not an AFK business and you may have to adjust your expectations if you think otherwise. I do remember leaving bots overnight... which I wouldn't do now because I'm more cautious... but certainly with experience I came to know the levels that I could leave AFK and semi AFK. I think maybe your situation could be improved a few ways.

Firstly I'm going to ask because you didn't mention it:

But are you using the latest updates? SVN? Make sure your Kicks profiles are updated.

CC -well you you need one that supports your bots and with an AFK option. I'd recommend trying the free versions of TuanHa's CC suite.

Plugins -MrItemRemover2, LogMeOut -firstly for convenience (bots travelling back to home or npc or hearthstone can waste a lot if time if it's because of bag space. This addon will save you lots of time. LogMeOut is multi functional but also has options for disconnecting you on x sticks. You may wish to employ this minimum of caution if you expect to AFK questbot).

TeamViewer -lets you monitor the bots via a smartphone or tablet or laptop etc. Hey at least you can keep your girlfriend sweet instead of being tied to your computer desk... I'm sure there's a pun in there somewhere.

HBRelog* or ARelog -these programs will manage your bots' sessions and relogging wow as needed on disconnections. Again it's a quality of life thing and works well with TeamViewer style of bot management. *last I heard was HBRelog had issues -may be fixed now.

Well that's mostly quality of life suggestions there. I don't dispute that you're having problems but encourage you to work through them. As for your questing profiles -if you are using Kicks' then submit a log and description of your problem in his thread. That guy is now a Core developer so I'm not sure if he's as proactive in his thread ... but by contributing you're helping the Questing scene get better.

thanks ill try some of those suggestions. I'm not that familiar with SVN but just remembered i need to manually UPDATE my kicks svn so doing that now. hope that helps. I was having a REALLLLLY bad day yesterday lol. I hate to make a negative post though because if it wasnt for honorbuddy i wouldnt have any income right now.
