skinning while questing?

So I set it all up, I got it working beautifully, and for some reason it wont skin, but it will herb... is there a setting im missing? I really did read the whole manual for this section I just can't figure it out . <3

Scratch that, it wont herb or skin lol. Any suggestons on how to enable that while questing? Or is it exclusive to the gatherbot.
