Obviously it's detectable and Blizz can just ban (in waves), whenever they want instead of individual cases daily. So is there a pattern on when they normally do their ban waves? Certain times?

Basically we know it's detectable, it's just a matter of time whenever Blizz feels like doing another banwave.

What can we do? What is being done by HB staff to maybe fix this so it's not as easily detected? It's not longer a matter of "if", it's a matter of "when".

I didn't get caught in the last wave, but I did the previous two.

I call BS I was not online for 2 days prior to tripwire with HB and i found out about tripwire when i went to launch it.. i waited for 2 days after HB was back up and I still got hit. I personally believe it's time to get your butts onto the 64 bit bandwagon and get some real security.

I don't understand why the philosophy behind their love and dedication for staying on 32 bit. 64 bit security will throw blizz through a loop and I know damn well if they are programmers of any kind of intelligence..., can agree that upgrading to 64 bit is where its at whilst still supporting 32 bit for those who can't upgrade to a 64 bit since it's debut early 2000 2002 ish when amd was slanging it out the door like *****..

UPGRADE MOVE AHEAD WITH THE TIMES.

And here we go again, a genius who obviously didn't read the announcement and another genius claiming that 64 bit is somehow more secure. Since I'm feeling nice, here you go:

That "announcement" doesn't explain what people are looking answers for, genius.

"There is nothing new that would require us to close auth servers and we do not need to do a new release. " There.

You don't have to be feeling "nice" with me. I've been with HB for 6 years. I've endured many bans. Many I don't post about. Things need to change. Period.

Your links are pointless

bottom line changes need to be made. the frequency of these problems of bans is getting to be a bit much there is obviously something going on

What do you want them to do? They've already said that changes have been made and that the bans going out are from tripwire events prior to the changes being made. Do you have any proof that this isn't the case?

If you're wishing the HB team to come out and say the bot is currently detected, you aren't going to get your wish. Nor are they EVER going to tell you what they're doing to combat detections in the future.

You being banned for botting never was a matter of "if". Any post you read, it's always been a matter of "when". You've been here for years and you're just realizing that?

As UnderratedPost points out, you have zero clue as to what you're talking about.

Upgrading HB to x64 bit doesn't magically give HB 64-bit security. The "security" you're imagining has to do with encryption, not with the way the bot interacts with the client.

As has been stated time and time again, upgrading to x64 does not have the affect that all you people crying for it think it has.

Would upgrading to x64 give a performance boost? Yes. Is it necessary? No. Will upgrading to x64 increase security for the bot? Not in the least bit.

Of course not, but there will be the opportunity to apply some encryption options. Maybe it's a question of unwillingness. It's more work.

It is much easier to fix one bug in a month at best. Each update , which takes place only with the release of patches , fixes only 1-2 bugs. It's a very "hard" work.
HB popular only due to big community, may be it's time to stop giving excuses for next banwave, which comes every month now, and do something for the community. I can afford to lose my accounts but not every month.

The HB team refuses to upgrade to 64bit due to the increased work load.

I don't know a thing about security, have faith in HB lads, have faith.

not really a troll....last Hb banwave was from wow32bit client...not 64

Extremely silly comment...

HB has always been 32-bit, which means EVERY banwave has been on the 32-bit client.

There's absolutely zero proof that the banwaves wouldn't have occurred if the bot was on 64-bit as well.

Seeming how the bot uses a grand total of zero encryption as it stands, why do you think upgrading to 64-bit will magically add additional encryption?

The people crying for 64-bit have absolutely zero idea how the bot functions. Because of that, they throw wild ideas out thinking that changing the system will somehow magically protect them.

That's not how the world works.
