Hi,
I've been using honorbuddy for about a week now; fantastic product, very well done, and has completely revamped my interest in wow.

I have a couple of lingering questions that I can't seem to find definitive answers for, so I was hoping to get some clarification from either others users or the developers.

(1) My settings seem to change constantly (particularly the "Vendor" settings). Are these settings modified by profiles (eg Kick's Questing Profiles) when the profiles are loaded? And if so, are the settings I specify manually considered "global" in any way? Should I not modify those settings if I'm using someone else's profile? The reason I ask is that sometimes modifying those settings seems to screw up the profiles (causes them to go into mesh/tile loops looking for trainers/vendors, finding new flight paths, etc). Basically, should I leave those alone if I'm using a pre-made profile (such as Kick's questing stuff)? I use three separate buddy installations for my bots so I know I'm not overriding the settings for different instances of the bots running at the same time.

(2) Is there an easy way for me to change the standing positions for the bg profiles? I think that in general, the bg profiles are fantastic (at least the ones I've used) but the biggest problem I see is 5-10 bots standing in exactly the same positions at each hotspot (blackspot in the profile?). I tried changing the "center=xxx" value for each of the blackspot locations but that did not seem to modify the behavior. Basically, I want to try to change the resting positions slightly so that it's not quite so obvious.

(3) Are movement/stop locations controlled by custom classes or by the bg profiles? I see some people recommending custom classes in order to look less "bot like"; is that because the classes change the targeting/mounting/looting/etc behavior? Because the meshing/movement logic is built into the bot engine and specified by the profiles, right? So I'm not sure how a custom class could modify movement in any significant way other than making you "pay attention" to the environment in a more human-like fashion.

(4) Are there any resources for understanding how the bot works on a technical level? I have a really hard time finding any real, commented data for some of the inner workings of the bot (stuff like the questions I'm asking here). I have a pretty solid background writing iOS/Android apps and a decent amount of free time coming up (finishing an android app for release in a cpl weeks and then free) and was thinking about trying to see what I could with some "remote control" ideas for botting. Where could I look to...

(Edit - Just found the developer forum and lots of great info there...if anyone has other resources I would appreciate the info but dev forum seems like it answers question 4).

Anyway, great stuff and I'm looking forward to playing with it for a long time to come.
