Settings and Configuration

I was wondering if anyone know what the hell was going on with these. I have gone into the settings and configuration windows on HB, Plug-ins and CC through HB's GUI and I've modified the XML files manually. I configured everything how I want it to be (eg. Pull Distance, DON'T Learn FPs, etc.), but while I'm running the bot I notice that it's not following the settings that I configured and is face pulling things, not looting things, running up to the Flight Master and just sitting there trying to learn the flight path.

When I open the GUI to see the settings, they're ALL different than what I put in the XML files, and even the XML files changed their information.

This is quite annoying as a caster should not be face pulling, and with the new FP system they implemented in WoW, we shouldn't have to worry about the "Learn FPs" feature on HB.

hey loki, i have had similar issues before and i can only assume that you are trying to modify these values whilst the bot is running.. if this is the case may i suggest you alter the setting before you start the bot.. as in have HB open, wow running, your character selected and in world. then alter the settings before you start the bot..

I've tried changing the settings while the bot is open and closed, got the same results both times. The settings just won't stick, I knew not to change anything while it's running because the fact that it wouldn't be able to compile the information. I'm just at a loss here.

okay next possibility is your are questing, if this is correct then there is a charactersetting_[your toon].xml file and a Levelbotsetting_[your toon].xml file.

If you alter one and not the other with matching settings then you will have "out of whack" settings
its not an ideal solution but i have had to do it a few times

I tried modifying them at the same time, while looking at them side by side. They had matched prior to the modification, but they didn't have the settings I put in them before. It's still having the same problem though, the pull distance and everything keeps changing to settings that I don't want. I looked at other settings with my toon's name in it, to see if they had anything that could be affecting the others, and they didn't.

I am questing though, with Kick's 68-80 Profile. I was wondering if the settings in that could be conflicting with the others, or if there were any other settings else where that are doing this.

okay on having a deep look on kick profiles there are parameters to change pull distance, so in the infinite wisdom that is KICK (no sarcasm, [no seriously kick i am in awe of you]) he modifies the pull distance to suit the quest.

I had a feeling it was that, I just didn't want to sort through 4000 lines of code to find that one line though

You are free to change settings while the bot is running.

Some quest profiles toggle settings on/off to achieve specific behaviors. (Most notably, Kick's profiles do this)
