ok, i searched "serverid" and i checked and i only get quotes.

my question is:

in profiles (when making them) what exactly does "serverid="34"" mean? what is its purpose? and does this change per server, zone, map (outland, azeroth, northrend, etc)? or does serverid="34" mean live servers? I think im going to mess around with meshing since i am UTTERLY BORED with nothing to do around my place.

<SubProfile>
<Mesh Name="Steeljaw's Caravan[68-73].mesh" ServerID="34" />
<Name>Scalding Pools</Name> (Name of the Sub-Profile)

thanks!

edit:

second question ... what exactly is a "monster faction id" ?? i've been checking out http://www.buddyforum.de/showthread.php?346-Creating-a-Mesh-Profile-Honorbuddy

Show Target Info

Now you have the faction of the mobs you are hunting, add them to the Factions in the SubProfile

<Factions>xxx xxx</Factions> (Monsters Factions to target)

While creating the cross, start adding the hotspots.

It isn't used. If this haven't changed, of corse. As fas as I know, it was a function that never got used, don't mind it.

ty... and the monster faction?

i noticed that a marsh caribou is http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=25680

25680 ... but how is that xxx xx faction??

It isn't. sort of. If marsh caribou are part of a faction (beasts?) they'd have a faction id that would be shared with say, diseased marsh caribou, or juvenile caribou (or something of that nature). Does that make sense?

Wowhead Id = 28009
Faction = 14

That is a Shardhorn Rhino. 28009 is it's NPC ID, but 14 is it's faction ID, which is shared with some other beasts that don't have a specific faction. So if you put 28009 in the faction list, I believe it will hunt only Shardhorn Rhino's. If you put 14 in I know it will kill all animals of that faction.

http://thottbot.com/f/all#A::A has a list of all factions in the game. Faction ID's (when you look them up on thottbot have a f at the beginning of them, such as, winterfen murlocs has a faction id of 1079.

any one know how to avoid mob? its avoid name="name" "id" etc.. and name is diffrent from all pets.. how can i just forget name? and just take id and all pets will be avoided?
or do i have to add all pets? hunter,and warlock. priest?

The purpose of the server ID was originally so we could have people upload meshes to a server and HB would download these meshes from the server. The idea was never implemented, so it's not used for anything.

Server id 34 for world profiles,
Server id 33 for BGs
Nice try, but no. :)

You'd have to do this in your CC with the CurrentTarget.IsPet() checking, I believe a pet is the same faction as its master.
