Server Transfers [General Question]

I admit I'm far from a pro at botting, but I've been using honorbuddy for quite a few months now. My question is how do you pay for server transfers on an account that you might farm with?

For example - I leveled a toon up to 80 and I want to transfer him to another server? Of course the account is in a fictional (fake) name.

Do I use say a Visa gift card (much like a credit card)? Do I make a paypal account? (of course then it would show my name if paying with my personal credit card)

How do people transfer toons with some level of protection to the individual behind the account?

ps: I've search this on the forums, both here and mmowned. This topic has not been discussed, although transferring a toon from one account to another has been, but not in this context.
 
I'm trying to avoid using my personal credit card as it is attached to my main account.

I figured they could track the transaction and match the cc numbers if at any point that farming account was banned or whatnot.
 
Mh well mate you can't do this by using paypal afaik. because Blizzard don't accept paypal (at least in Europe).
I suggest you to use a creditcard or maybe that gift card of visa.

Over this I think, who cares if they know your real name? It's not against the law to bot only against the EULA, so you wouldn't get to jail :P
Also Blizzard won't look "hey this bot-account was payed by a visa - lets take a look if there is any other account with this data".

Here in germany I use my prepayed creditcard or direct credit transfer (an option of my bank). I don't care if the know who I am^^
 
I may look at the prepaid credit card (or gift card) - its just when you buy them as prepaid they don't have a name associated on the card. They are more or less disposable.

I'm just being cautious. I bot as a source of income to my main account - not in anyway to sell gold - just the same it is against EULA, I'd rather not have my main account affected :)

I've been using 1 credit card for the last 4 years. Its attached to my botting accounts and my main accounts. I've not had issue.
 
I assume you've had suspensions and bans on your botting accounts... even a cautious person like I have too. So I may give it a try then. Worse case I could say that my CC number was stolen if Blizzard ever gave my main account a hard time.

By the way - thank you for the responses, especially from long standing HB members.

Blizzard won't compare CC data.
What about this case:

Mr. T. have got a son called A.

Mr. T. and son A. are both playing WoW.

Mr. T. plays by hand and his sun uses GB/HB.

Mr. T. pays both accounts with his creditcard.

Now they ban son A. because of botting.

Do you really think they would ban, without any bash at it?
No they won't do so because Mr. T. never did anything wrong.
So if you don't bot on your mainaccount it won't be banish =)
 
have to use a credit card. ive used my same email and paypal for all my wow accounts since ive played. blizz wont ban by payment method cuz they want monies
 
In WoWs ToC Blizzard state they can and will ban all accounts with assocated information: credit cards, email address etc. But I have not found this to be upheld.
 
well the gift card is a good idea, ive used it myself a few times and it works and if you use spendon giftcard like me, and no paypal for wow, NEVER EVER PAYPAL except for gold
