Hello everyone,..

1. Sorry for my horrible english, i know it sucks somethimes.

I have an idea.
All devs are pissed off, when users are flaming about errors in HB / Custom Classes /
Plugins and Profiles.
But only 10% of them, gives all relevant informations, to fix an issue,
like logfiles, and so on..

My idea is an Plugin.
If a user think, he has found an error, he can click a button. A popup get open and
ask for an error description.
The Plugin grap all informations like:
- HB Version
- Combatclass / Version
- Class / Race (toon)
- Profilename
- Zone / Instance (maybe coords to)
- Last Action (like Quest Turn in, move to corpse and so on)
- The complete Log (without personal Informations / Nicknames)
- ......

And just one Button, to submit that stuff.

Maybe its possible to add some hitboxes. Bot related, CC related, Profile related.
Hmm..
And Maybe there must been a Tag in Profiles/ CCs like: Contact="xxxx"
If a users decides, it must been an CC error, all stuff sends it to the dev of this.
The same with profiles, plugins...
And all other, to the dev of the bot.

I Dont know, its usefull, or just crap..
But it can make some things easier.

I think this is a good idea. Like error reporting from within the bot itself.

I think the devs would at least get the information they need to review the issue, rather than 100s of useless posts with no logs.

When the bot crashes you have the ability to send information like that already anyway (window pops up, etc).

But it would be nice if there was a "bug" button just in HB native. That if something did bug out without crashing HB you could hit it, type in the description (like you are saying) and have it send your log chunk, location, etc, etc...

Yeah, great idea for those bugs that DON'T cause HB to crash... which, in all hoensty, covers the majority.

Instead of Forum, those posts should be directed directly to the BugTracker.

Here's how I see it:

Press the "Report Issue" button. You get a form asking you lots of information, most of which is populated automatically:

- DROPDOWN: Component that the issue is related to.
populate list with: Navigation, Bots, Plugins, Custom Classes (and maybe Profiles?)

- Then, in each case:

Navigation: Record bots current coords, zone and continent. Ask user to describe problem, automatically attach zipped log to bug report, attach other important info (see below), submit it to the bug tracker.

Bots: Select the Bot you're having problems with or automatically populate the selection with the current in-use bot. Ask user to describe problem, automatically attach zipped log to bug report, attach other important info (see below), submit it to the bug tracker.

Plugins: Populate a dropdown list of plugins currently installed. Ask user to select the plugin that he's reporting issues about. Ask user to describe problem, automatically attach zipped log to bug report, attach other important info (see below), submit it to the bug tracker.

Custom Classes: Record the current running Custom Class. Ask user to describe problem, automatically attach zipped log to bug report, attach other important info (see below), submit it to the bug tracker.

Other important info could, and should include:
- Currently installed (and enabled) plugins
- Currently installed custom classes
- Currently installed and running bots
- Versions of classes, plugins, bots, version of HB
- regional settings of the operating system (for plugins that deal with numbers), current language of the game client, language of the operating system, version of the operating system, version of .NET framework
- latency of the game client
- ...and others I couldn't think of

This whole info SHOULD be posted on the BUGTRACKER and not on the forums. It makes stuff easier to find, merge, fix etc.
