selling gems, stack size on RMAH

If I put let's say a stack of 1000gems on the AH, will I only be able to sell them if someone buys at least 1000 of those gems ? Should I sell better quality gems only one by one instead of huge stacks?

it works like this: you put 1000 gems on the auction house. if someone buys 1 gem you have 999 left on the auction house. after a while you sold 1000 gems and then you recieve your gold/money. if you cancel the auction before all gems are sold you get the remaining gems back and the gold for the sold ones

Your price needs to be the cheapest from all the available sellers for you to make a sale, because the buyer always gets quotes for the cheapest price. Also, I believe you'll only be selling the stack as a whole. Example: you list 1000x @ $1, and the next cheapest item is 2x @ 1.05, then you wont get a sale if a buyer wants 250x for example.

you always get a sale if your gems are currently the cheapest on the market. lets say you want to buy 1000 gems and someone has 250 for 1$ and another one 750 for 1.5$ you will pay 250x1$ and 750x1.5$
