Second Account for Botting - How to keep my main safe from it?

So I recently purchased a second account to bot on. My main account is currently being botted on but once my druid hits 80 I'm going to cease all botting on it. My main account has never been flagged or reported as far as I know.

The second account is the account that I want to bot on. I'm planning on starting another character soon and level him to 80. What I want to be able to do is then transfer the characters from this account to my main account once they are 80. I will also use the second account also to bot some gold that I will be able to give to my main account as well.

So my question is, how do I go about doing this without putting my main account at risk for bans?

I've been told to do the following:

- Use a different first name but the same surname (last name) to allow character transfers.
- Use gamecards to purchase gametime for the botting account.
- Use the same address.
- Use a different battle.net account.

Is this correct? Will this minimize my chances of getting my main account banned?

Thank You,
knilxe

All of that info is basically correct - however transferring botted toons and gold to your main account my cause problems. I move gold from my bots to my main through a trusted 3rd party, generally on a worthless vanilla account.

Imo just bot them up to 80 on your main account, because if you went through the hassle of buying 2 game times, etc and i think you would have to pay to transfer the toons to your main account , it would be more expensive waste of time and money if you got banned, you could lose the main and bot account?

I just have a Guild with a low level on and then some farm bots in the guild then i transfer gold to my main account. which i do bot on but not hardcore when i start enjoying the game.
