With the upcoming season, I am looking to push 2400 or as close as possible. With this goal arises many questions.

1) Should I use a CR or push legit?
I have played for a really long time and am having a difficult time deciding if a CR with the minimal options (pretty much just rotation) is better for pushing rating than it is myself playing legit. I pushed 2k on a few different tunes using the CR setup, but am worried that using a CR will hold me back.

2) What classes do y'all think will be the most OP for season 15? I heard Rogue, Hunter, and Mages are all supposed to be OP.

1) If you are capable of pushing to 2400 without a CR, you wouldn't even considering using one. There are many factors that make human interaction/decisions much more effective than a bot.

2) It's more about comp than class - for example, Boomkin/lock/ele/spriest aren't really OP classes on their own (maybe ele just because they have sick constant damage and can heal just as well as most other healers). However a lot of people are saying LSD/Godcomp/Shatterplay are going to be REALLY strong. Another thing is, yes Rogue/Mage/Hunter are all quite easy to get to 1800-2k CR on, but above that you need to know how to play the class even when using the CR, because those classes have some of the highest skill caps in the game. You need to know the defensive and offensive capabilities of your class so you know when to run, you need to time your lockdowns/stuns with your partners - especially with rogue, you can't just be using KS as it becomes available, as that is putting stun DR on your target and you can't open a burst opportunity on them for another 20 secs each time you do that. You need to know how to use your toolkits and do things the CR can't do/predict for you.

I would stick to using a CR on a class you have very good knowledge about already if you're wanting to push above 2.2k - there are no CR's that will make pushing to 2.2k and beyond EASY, but good luck :)
 
As cmavo87 said, if you are capable of pushing 2400 by hand, do it. CR's can only get you so far (even the most advanced of them).
 
How are you running CRs in the arena. When I try it will work for maybe 2 or 3 matches then it stops working. Funny thing it works as soon as the toon exits the arena and starts beating on the training dummies no prob... as soon as it goes back in the arena it stops working. When this happens I need to restart the app, then it's a random crapshoot if it will work at that point. I've tried combat bot, lazy raider, and tyrael, same results with all, works for a round or 2 then stops.
 
I got to 2.3k in 3s using tuanha's warrior CR. I do manual interrupts and macro eat traps etc. However, I've been able to get 2.3k without CR, but at this point in time I cba spamming my rotations and such.

what CR are you using? you should be asking that question in it's support thread.

if its tuanhua free version then the answer is it doesnt work for shit in rated pvp, you need the paid version
 
I guess you are using a free combat rotation, like tuanha. If you buy the premium one, it'll work 100% of the time, i had the same problem before. It's only because you play against someone of the same faction as yours ...

I use TuanHa CRs to maintain the minimal of Buffs and some (under circumstances) Dispels.

Most big CDs are left under my manual control.

This works for PVE and PVP at high levels where under communication you need to coordinate CDs rather than bot them off.

I suggest you approach your situation the same, it's the best of both worlds. Let the Bot CR maintain your essential Buffs, Dispels and Rotation but leave the big CDs to your own control.

I would recommend TuanHa for this as his interface is very customisable and (for better or worse) his CRs have a focus on PVP.
