Safest way to BG bot

There is no safe way at all, not even slightly safe, if you bot in a BG you're going to be detected by 10 ppl within the first few minutes, if you bot in a BG don't expect your account to survive longer than 1 day.

I disagree with the "detected in a few minutes." I equip all my level 100s by botting in BGs (I have done this with dozens of toons - I am doing it as I type this). I use just the standard HB BG bot using Singular. Only issue I ever had was in the ban waves and one time I tried botting 5 accounts in dungeons - banned in 4 hours.
There will be similar folks with the same experience (no issues). There will be others that have been burned. If I were you and I was not too worried about a suspension / ban I would try out BGs - you will likely be ok.

Botting bgs same risk as most other things in my exp is all I do other than questbot and ashran bot. and i havent had a large amount of bans just the last 2 banwaves so as everything at your own risk i use milz bg and some CRs but singular for ones I dont have

There's a lot of scaremongering on this forum so take what people say with a healthy pinch of salt 
BG Buddy does a decent job and if you really want that extra level of safety you can purchase the awesome BG Farmer from the buddy store 
The creator Millz says he has never been banned for using it, as long as you set up your character well and bot smart you should be able to stay under the bliz radar!

I hope so! I have botted at least 12 classes to full honor gear with BG Buddy in the past, i only got caught when i botted a warrior from 1-100 and full honor gear within less than 3 days. I received a 72 hour suspension, wasn't too bad. However, if i get caught again will I face a permanent ban? I could deal with a 6 month ban, but my main account has been active for years, 15k+ achieve points, would be disappointed if that got perma banned.
I got banned in Decemeber 15, and haven't used it since.
i also equip my level 100 through BG using BG Farmer as i find it's way better/safer than BG Buddy.
Nevertheless you shouldn't do it overnight. I only BG bot at peak times, like weekend or in the afternoon because then the bot is not thrown into the same BG group every BG.
Also make sure you set it up correctly.
Currently i'm struggling if i let my chars autoequip so the become better as they do the BG or keep them low equipped to let them die as quick as possible.
Advantage of good equipped bot is they often do more damage than normal players and the chances to win a bg are increased.

Have seen some strange movement, especially for melee classes...
Been also struggling with some settings in BG Farmer, for example i bot a hunter and in arathi my toon stays at the first base because he's set to stay with largest group of friendly players, but in the early beginning of the BG he thinks
first base has that largest group while they all go for the next base. Then, when he realize he's alone he moves on and leaves the base undefended... stupid behaivior... especially for a hunter everyone expects to be defense

Just got 5/6 to 702 ilvl with bgfarmer, ironically the one that got banned was banned at the same time I was botting 4 others. People are just unlucky and get in a team with some guy who rages for being bad, but takes it out on others.
Had a guy whisper my healer that I was shit for using a bot, destroying the bg. My healer was topping healing done with 8 million (!) more than the second healer, and completely carrying that scrub. That still didnt matter to him. None of my other accounts had this happen, and were fine. Bots are usually better than 95% of the players in the bg anyways, but all it takes is that one rager.
