I am looking to use a bot for personal gold income only. I want enough to be able to buy BOE epics, enchants, flasks, potions and 300 food, the reforge mount, stuff like that, for my main and possibly a couple alts.
- I am not looking to make real money.
- I am not looking to make millions of gold.
- I do not want to farm achievements, mounts, or pets for my main account.
- I do not want to use a bot to level alts for my main account.
So I'm looking for advice as to how I can do all this relatively safely. These are the steps I'm planning on taking, please advise where I should do otherwise:
- Creating a fresh email account for a fake identity
- Creating a fresh battle.net account for the same email
- Sending a recruit-a-friend invitation to the new account and gifting the new account the battle chest plus all expansions
- Only logging in to my bot account through use of a virtual private network. The battle.net account will be registered to the geographical location of the virtual private network.
- Making a new guild on my bot account. Inviting one of my alts on my main account to the same guild.
- Proceed to level my bot to 90 and grind herbs/ore. I plan to buy some BOEs, do some heroics, get up to LFR quality gear and then mostly just farm herbs and ore.
- Deposit gold and farming mats in the guild bank.
- At this point I might slowly funnel gold to my main account using gbank withdrawals.
I don't care if the bot account gets banned at some point, I just want to avoid getting the main account banned.
I also wonder if the virtual private network is worth it since the WoW client running from the same physical machine. If Blizzard collects any information like computer name, etc., it's easy to see it's the same computer which would just look more suspicious.
