Safer with a dedicated botting account?

So far I've been botting on the same account I play on, but I'm increasingly getting worried about losing it since I've spent a lot of time and effort on my toons. If I buy another account and use it solely for botting, while not botting any more on my main account (but sending all the mats and money to it), will my main account be banned if the botting account gets flagged by Warden or gets busted by a GM? Assuming the main account hasn't already been flagged. I'll be using the same IP address for both accounts, but different computers.

I've been using two computers. I only play Account A on computer 1.

However, I've used Accounts B and C on computer 1 and 2, though primarily 2.


I often send money from accounts B and C to account A. Nothing has happened yet, but, it is always a risk.

If you want to keep your main account safe, don't let it interact with your other accounts.

I use dedicated PCs, dedicated Accounts, dedicated Accountnames (Realnames).
My toons already have been banned (@Glider) but my Main was never touched.

Ofc if you bot on the same pc, and warden detects a bot, it will ban both accounts.

Dont hink so if that would be the case I would have lost more than one Account with the GB Bannwave thanks to Luafoo.

But I lost only the Account wich used GB, another Account ran at the same time with Mimic(on the same PC but differnt WOW-Folder) was safe and is still today alife an kicking...

Just remember "Never Bot on Main!!!"

If you want to be 100% sure that you never get banned for botting don't bot.
