Running the game through proxies.

I'd like to get some thoughts on what everyone thinks about running the game through proxies. Essentially what I see the issue as being is that since we are already doing something shady by botting and the fact that blizzard likely has internal systems that monitor when accounts are logged from different IP addresses, do you think running the game through different proxies would draw unwanted attention to the account?

You cant run the game on proxies, or maybe you can.. but wont work. get a VPN..

No it does not Kaam. That is how alot of people oversea's conect... though noip or wowtunnels or numerous other proxies.

Personaly I have been running canadian proxie on since the us gov decided my anonimity on the net wasnt in there game plan years ago.

I've heard of people being suspended or having accounts locked because it looked like some kind of account sharing or power leveling was going on.

idk anything about US so my idea will stay in my head. Only thing i heard is that US is monitoring the IP's. EU gives a fuck about them.

That was my thoughts exactly. US is really anal about account security and all that junk unfortunately.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Judging by the lack of responses I'll assume not many people in the U.S. have tried this or had any luck with it?

I've got two different private proxies I use in the US. Im based in NZ.

I use the old freecap/putty to tunnel the wow app through whichever proxy I want. I did it to get my bot computer from a different IP from my main computer. Did it for about 8 months before I got a second internet connection at home, so have no need to use them now. Bot on one net, main on the other.

Pretty much what I want it for except I was thinking of setting each wow client up through its own proxy so none of them will share the same IP.

Yup, thats what I did. Had two running on the bot pc, one via each proxy.

You can either buy two tunnel from lowerping or something, and use one for each, or you will need to rent your own linux server and install SSH on them. lots of guides around the net to do that, its not hard.

I think I'm just gonna do a trial run on some accounts that are leveling rather than a farmer to see how skiddish Blizzard is.
