Running multiple HB sessions at what priority?

In order to minimize my CPU usage, what is the "optimal" priority I should run HB in? Currently they are all at "Normal". Would raising this to "Above Normal", or lowering it to "Below Normal" have any benefit? I am currently running 3 sessions, and my comp seems to stay around 80% CPU usage, and I am hoping to lower this(if possible). Thanks for any help.

Set the affinity for a particular core to a particular process. You are running a multi core cpu, right? ;-)
 
Yes, quad core. So are you saying to assign each HB session to a seperate core rather than changing the priority?

This is not helpful at all...I am sure there are computers that can run 500 HB sessions without any problem. That was not my question. Since I obviously can't run more than 3 session as I stated without bogging down MY computer, I digress back to my OP. What would the OPTIMAL setting that I should run HB at, or does it really matter?

No one can give you the optimal settings with the information you stated... "Quad-Core" tells us nothing, if you wish to have a valid response (as you put it), then give us your computer specs... It is just like an HB Log, without it no one can really give you a straight answer.
 
Actually I am asking about computers in general. Does raising or lowering the priority affect CPU usage in any way? My computer specs shouldn't matter, since I was never asking about any computer specifically, just kind of about CPU usage in general. I only mentioned mine running at about 80% as a baseline. I am sure we have VERY computer savvy people here on the forums, this is a question more for the computer geeks that know computers inside and out, more so than I do.

Then the simple answer is yes:

If your running multiple copies or multiple programs at once the CPU load will of course be higher then that of only running one or two programs. Thus setting different programs to run at different levels can help even out the load, and in turn smooth out CPU spikes and even lower it's usage. Again, without knowing what you have running on your computer we can't give you an optimal priority schema, but if you lower the applications/programs that are not really needed and increase HB, you will find that HB will run better and smoother (But this may not decrease CPU usage, rather it will just redirect more CPU resources, cycles, etc to the HB Client, thus a higher amount to the 80% will be HB instead of whatever programs you have running).
 
Well if it will help, I play/use a Samsung R580 laptop with an i5 M430 @ 2.27 GHz, 8 gigs of ram. But usually when I an running my bots, I typically end the processes of anything non-vital. So raising HB priority really has little effect since HB is one of the only things running if I am understanding what you mean.
 
HB don't need much resource, but WoW does.
Try lowering your WoW settings and limit FPS to 25-30. It will be enough.
 
I would also agree with Lathrodectus,

If your AFK botting you should always turn everything to low (If not off), also I see that your processor is a dual core not a quad, even with 2.53GHz you should be able to run at least two WoW clients without an issue and still be able to do basic tasks (Email, Web browsing, etc).
 
quad.webp It is a quad core, I atleast know that much lol. When I am afk botting, I do all the basic stuff, end all other non essential processes, turn off all addons, etc. So I guess this is all I can do with what I have. Thanks.

Hmm, must be different editions as I got this when I looked up the specs "Click Here", In the end I suppose that is all that can be done. Desktop FTW!
 
Priority will only be effect when you have a bot runnig and surfing the web
You can set the game and bot priority to an higher so that if you your cpu go to 100% he will first "calc" the game and bot and than your browser
Its has arround 30-50% effect if you have thw game and bot running (you have always some background applications like virusscanner running)
