Hi guys,

I've been using HB for just over 12months now and have to say it was by far a successful investment. A topic however that plagues my mind is always abrupt, the duration that an individual runs HB for. Whether that be GB2, QuestBot (Much love Kick), BGBuddy or DungeonBuddy. Now i personally have a very old account now on WoW that has been clean till recent but i'll divulge that information in a sec and i have generally been to scared to use the other profiles because as I've seen from numerous posts in the past... running these other profiles consistently (12hrs+) will result in "Bans". So about 2 months ago i started using the GB2 to for lols... and it was working so well, i got hooked onto it and practically left it going for 2 days straight or until the 3 gbank tabs and my 98 slots in bags were full. This was naturally successful.. and so this persisted over 7 weeks. Now having such mass quantities of materials to sell, i assumed the AH was the better way to go and i could freely own the Trade hub of mining on my realm and i would evidently maintain a solid income of roughly 150k-190k weekly. Alas this was not to be... i was caught out ... i quickly re-acted and sought to have the account restored (success!). After the 4 day (ban) a mate was looking into the situation (he uses HB also) and came across a large majority of people who shared these experiences where they would make the mistake of working the AH in large quantities. Supposedly the only reason myself and others had been caught out, was because if you work the AH... you get flagged which alerts blizzard which will end up if acc closure.. All in all i'm wondering what other peoples experiences have been/are like right now, is it relatively safe to bot over an extended period of time? For me, i quest bot and now dungeonbot hard to 90. To my impression if the bot DCs while im at work or as long as i am present at the time monitoring the bot during the day and having conversations and other "human-like" actions i would assume this would turn blizzard the other way.... Just going from experience and personal opinion because that was the first time i had ever been caught out and had my account banned.

Sum this whole topic up with questions, is it relatively safe now? Whats the longest some of you keep the bot on? Are there loopholes? Do we avoid the AH at all costs? Other tips?

Thanks!

It's very stupid to assume that being able to dump lots of mats on the AH is safe, its not Blizzard watching the AH instead other players will report you to Blizzard then they will investigate.
Remember use a AH/bank toon for listing mats on the AH, preferably find a buyer for those mats using COD.
Really though its better if you process mats yourself with other toons that have the profs levelled up to use them.

Doing any one thing for long periods of time will flag you up, use HBlog/arelog to log in and off repeatedly through the day and mix up what it does. Try and look like a "real" player is the key.
