Running multiple accounts - Where/how do you install multiple authenticators?

So how do you guys who're running multiple accounts do it? Are you guys buying multiple authenticators from Blizzard or using the PC Windows version?

Digital downloads. Also you can search for multi boxing here in the thread for further details on the setup process, if you need any help on that, and search does not help, post here. We will assist

Yeah. No offense to DB as I absolutely love their bot, their forum search bar sucks majorly.

Yes, I would be interested in learning more!

BTW, if anyone else could figure in on how they're installing multiple authenticators, that'd be awesome. I don't have any plans at this time to run more than one bot at this time as I doubt my notebook could handle the load. Perhaps if/when I see this becoming a profitable venture, I may buy a second computer with more guts under the hood to run more bots.

For each instance of Diablo you plan to run, create a new copy paste folder of your original Diablo folder.

Name them as you wish, #1 #2 #3 etc

Now go to each folder and locate the file named Diablo III.exe

Create a desktop shortcut for each folder and above named file.

Then go to each shortcut and add -launch to then end of each file, right click properties, Target

Example as follows:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III 1st Account\Diablo III.exe" -launch
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III 2nd Account\Diablo III.exe" -launch
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III 3rd Account\Diablo III.exe" -launch
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III 4th Account\Diablo III.exe" -launch
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III 5th Account\Diablo III.exe" -launch
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III 6th Account\Diablo III.exe" -launch
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III 7th Account\Diablo III.exe" -launch

Provided you have a Diablo license for each, launch each and log in.
If using DemonBuddy, obtain the number of licenses to match you planned active accounts.

Final step:

Have fun!

Testing it tonight. I have two keys.

2nd that!

ADenver, have you run multiple sessions of winauth same time?

I'd like to know the same. I think I read about winauth the other day. What I'd like to know is if it's possible to create multiple folders with winauth inside them and to run them separately so they have unique ID codes registered to each copy and unique login numbers being transmitted.

If so, that would save me the money and trouble of buying separate keychain authenticators. The nice part about DB's authenticators is you can run them while windowed.

WinAuth by design is setup so you load each authenticator file (Restore codes, registration codes, etc... for that bnet account)

So yes, I have around 15 different auth files and only 1 instance of WinAuth.

The above poster is correct, sep folders for each bot is how I do it now. Currently running 6 demonbuddies :)

You can also use another WinBMA that will work immediately.

But right click on WinAuth ...look at the top ..see where it says create a new authenticator ?

Lets test it and see?

See above - for answer ^^^

That works for me. Guess that's how I'm going to roll from here on out.

If you need any further help let me know. I am working on some autologin with the passing of authenticator codes from winauth. Just started today so no estimate on timeframe.

Figured out the hard way that you can't really create separate authenticator folders. Have to create one, single installation and create separate profiles for each account.

Tested it out, both accounts are able to log in without a hitch. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to auto-login so I don't have to copy/paste codes. It would be really convenient!

EDIT: Figured it out. Followed the instructions by adding the window name and process name (obtained via control+alt+delete and "processes."). This isn't really a complete "autologin" feature. It just copies/pastes the code for you obtained from the currently present authenticator account profile then presses enter. If you're running multiple accounts, you'll still have to switch between authenticator profiles.

My hotkey is control+alt+Z

I can not for the life of me open a second D3 folder. Everytime it loads up, I get the "not responding" at the top of the window and I have to close it.

Any help?

I am having the same issue. I have copied the game folder to one of its own, short cut to desktop, -launch at the end of the execute line. It starts you see the skull logo and then doesn't respond. Is this still working?

Mine still works fine. Have you tried copying the folder when it was not in use?

Yea, same thing I have always done. Ive even re-made the copies and it let me pull up two copies and the third would be "not responding"

Now I just can run the one, I am not getting the D3 game error, just the not responding window.

Computer is good
16gig ram
amd Fx8120
120gig SSD

Shouldnt have a problem loading it.... So weird, and frustrating

Try removing the D3 settings folder underneath your my documents folder. or copy it to somewhere else, then remove it.

Also, video card drivers up to date?

Yes, well lemme double check. Ill see what happens, only other thing I can think of doing is IS Boxer, from what I read is the next best option

Edit: Yes vid cards are up to date. Trying free trial of IS boxer... Got them all up, just alot of things I do not know about this program.
